Will As an Alternative in Muslim Estate Planning

ABSTRACT

Estate planning is about the plans that involves the transfer of estate after somebody passed away. If
there are no appropriate estate plan, friends and relatives can spend a lifetime battling over your assets.
The estate, which is include cash in bank or cash in hand and properties that own by the deceased likes
land and buildings will be distribute to the legal heirs after deduction of funeral expenses and debts for
Muslim. The debts are including the debts among human or the debts between God. From the research,
they noticed that most of the Malaysia people do not make a will for their estate. It is because in regards
to them, the just need to make a will if they have a lot of estate and rich. From time to time, the amount
of unclaimed assets keep increasing and this situation have become a significant problem and need to
be settled immediately. In regards to this situation, the estate planning is very important in order to
make the operation will go smooth without facing any future problems because all the things are related
to the law. This paper discussed about a will as an instrument of Muslim estate planning. Nowadays,
the will is very important in estate planning because by having the will, we tend not to have problem
in the future especially in regards to the process of estate distribution. A will provides for the
distribution of certain property owned by the deceased at the time of death, and generally they may
dispose of such property in any manner. In fact, the will can change any time before death. They can
change for many times. This paper also highlights the importance of will and how to make a will in
estate planning. The insight of this paper can contribute to instilling awareness among the public that
the wills not just for the wealthy person but everyone can make a wills.

ABSTRAK

Sejak sekian lama, permainan digital lebih digemari oleh pelajar lelaki, khususnya yang bercirikan
permainan berasaskan sukan, aksi dan main peranan. Namun, dengan kemajuan teknologi telefon
pintar, pelbagai genre permainan digital boleh dimuat turun dan dimainkan oleh pelajar lelaki ataupun
pelajar perempuan. Situasi ini menimbulkan persoalan adakah wujud perbezaan dalam Efikasi Kendiri
(EK), Inovasi Personal (IP) dan Kesediaan Diri (KD) antara pelajar lelaki dan pelajar perempuan. Bagi
tujuan tersebut, seramai 170 pelajar perakaunan KUIS telah dipilih secara persampelan rawak bagi
menjawab soal selidik berkenaan pandangan mereka terhadap pengalaman bermain permainan digital,
EK, IP dan KD. Analisis statistik yang digunakan ialah Ujian t sampel bebas. Dapatan kajian
menunjukkan terdapat perbezaan signifikan dalam EK (t (118) = 2.24; p < 0.05) dan dalam IP (t (118)
= 3.73). Bagi kedua-dua pembolehubah tersebut, didapati pelajar lelaki menunjukkan pandangan yang
lebih tinggi berbanding pelajar perempuan. Namun, dapatan kajian mendapati tiada perbezaan
signifikan dalam KD. Ini menunjukkan bahawa pelajar lelaki (min = 3.66, sp = 0.54) dan pelajar
perempuan (min = 3.71, sp = 0.47) menunjukkan pandangan yang hampir sama terhadap kesediaan diri
dalam pembelajaran perakaunan berasaskan permainan digital.

ABSTRACT

This paper discusses the application of SmartPLS in Waqf study. SmartPLS is a software that becomes
prominent in many empirical studies across various areas, including Waqf. The methodology of this
paper is to find as many journal articles and proceedings papers on Waqf that use SmartPLS in their
empirical analysis. Those Waqf articles and papers are organized according to specific focus such as
Waqif (the endower/ founder), Mauquf (the entity of Waqf), Mauquf ‘alaih (the beneficiaries),
Mutawalli (the custodian/ manager) and Sighah (legal statement/ declaration) of Waqf. SPSS software
is used to analyze descriptive statistics related to the use of SmartPLS in every articles/ papers. The
major finding of this paper is that SmartPLS is increasingly popular among Waqf researchers over the
years. Among the reasons are because of its’ user-friendly format and reliable output.

ABSTRACT

E-commerce as a business mechanism facilitates business to increase productivity, competitiveness,
profitability, and information management capabilities. Most studies highlighted the importance of e-
commerce for competitive advantage and survival of a business. This study aims to explore the
application of e-commerce among entrepreneurs of small-medium enterprise (SME). The relationship
between customer factor, technology factor, competition factor, and supplier factor on the application
of e-commerce respectively are also studied. A questionnaire survey was administered on 73 small-
medium entrepreneurs at Bangi Sentral, Selangor. Data collected was analyzed using descriptive and
inferential methods such as descriptive (Mean) analysis, Pearson Correlations, Analysis of Variance
(ANOVA) and regression analysis. Results revealed that the level of e-commerce application among
the SME entrepreneurs is high; customer factor, technology factor, competition factor, and supplier
factor have significant and positive impact on the application of e-commerce; and supplier factor is the
most dominant factor which triggers the usage of e-commerce among entrepreneurs of small-medium
enterprise at Bangi Sentral, Selangor.

ABSTRAK

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan antara amalan pengurusan sumber manusia dengan niat
kakitangan untuk kekal bekerja di universiti awam terpilih. Pengekalan pekerja merupakan salah satu
cabaran utama yang dihadapi oleh kebanyakan organisasi pada hari ini. Pekerja akan terus bekerja di
organisasi jika organisasi mengamalkan strategi amalan pengurusan yang baik manakala pekerja akan
meninggalkan organisasi sekiranya mereka merasa tidak gembira terhadap beberapa faktor yang wujud
di organisasi. Pengurusan amalan sumber manusia yang strategik, dapat meningkatkan pengekalan
pekerja serta mewujudkan persekitaran pekerjaan yang aman, selesa dan harmoni. Kajian ini
memfokuskan tiga faktor amalan pengurusan sumber manusia iaitu pampasan dan faedah, latihan dan
pembangunan, dan jaminan pekerjaan. Bagi mencapai objektif kajian, sebanyak 200 set borang soal
selidik telah diedarkan kepada pekerja di salah sebuah universiti awam terpilih dan 90% diberi
maklumbalas. Hasil dapatan dalam kajian ini menunjukkan bahawa amalan pengurusan sumber
manusia, latihan dan pembangunan mempunyai tahap yang paling tinggi terhadap niat kakitangan
untuk kekal bekerja di organisasi berbanding dengan faktor yang lain. Manakala 3 faktor amalan
pengurusan sumber manusia dalam kajian ini adalah signifikan dan mempunyai hubungan dengan niat
kakitangan untuk kekal bekerja di organisasi. Faktor pampasan dan faedah mempunyai kekuatan
hubungan yang paling kuat di antara faktor yang lain. Analisis regresi mendapati faktor pampasan dan
faedah mempunyai pengaruh yang paling tinggi terhadap niat kakitangan untuk kekal bekerja di
organisasi berbanding dengan faktor latihan dan pembangunan serta jaminan pekerjaan. Akhir sekali,
kajian ini juga turut membincangkan implikasi dan limitasi kajian, dan cadangan untuk kajian akan
datang.

ABSTRACT

This study aimed to identify the impact of the security partnership strategy in facing security
challenges. The coordinators of the partners from governmental and private institutions that have a
partnership relationship with Abu Dhabi Police, and the study reached several results, the most
important of which are: that the increase in the level of strategic partnership will lead to an increase in
efficiency in facing security challenges, and that the increase in the level of knowledge and community
partnership and partnership with resources has an impact. Positive to increase the level of facing
security challenges, and the strategic partnership positively affects the ability to face security
challenges. The study recommended the necessity of holding seminars and conferences in which
officials of the security services meet with heads and workers of social institutions, especially Sharia,
media, education and thought leaders in society, during which the most important security issues of
concern to society are presented to raise the concern and awareness of community members and guide
them to contribute in cooperation with men Security.

ABSTRACT

Microcredit programs are perceived as a useful tool in empowering women, particularly who otherwise
deprived of access to financial services. The word empowerment has been used to symbolize a wide
range of concept and to define the emergence of concepts. Many researchers have confirmed that
empowerment is directly related to many development outcomes. However, the impact of microcredit
on women’s empowerment remains controversial. Previous literature has disclosed conflicting
evidence on the impact of microcredit. Several findings demonstrated that microcredits program might
partially or not empower women. Therefore, this study intends to provide a systematic literature review
on the impact of microcredit programs in improving women life in three areas; economy, psychology
and social. The finding obtained in this study may be useful in the exploration of potential research
areas and identification of neglected areas on the impact of microcredit in women empowerment.
