Norton, Lily. “Why Do We Dress Up on Halloween?” LiveScience, Purch, 29 Oct. 2010,
www.livescience.com/8876-dress-halloween.html.
One day the Romans and the Celtics and the Pagans and the
Catholics all combined traditions to make Halloween. They did this
because they all wanted to celebrate their traditions. They wanted to
celebrate their traditions because they like their traditions and like to
celebrate them. They are very important to them. They are important to
them because they are what their families and people have been doing
for hundreds of years and they are fun and enjoyable. They are like
holidays, and Halloween is when they all celebrate these traditions,
except now we are the far, far, far, far, FAR away descendants of them
(maybe) and we still celebrate it because we like candy. Just because it
is a tradition, we use it as an excuse for another hallmark holiday that
just ends up getting people fat. Also it’s a little bit weird that we
celebrate darkness and evil as a holiday valued almost as much as
Christmas or Easter, which are also slowly turning into hallmark
holidays for businesses to cash in on and excuses for less school and
more food, instead of us celebrating them for the important
occasions they are.
The End.
