The upcoming exam season has brought its familiar pressure, which developswhen people become occupied with their schedules. The current edition on ExamPressure and Stress reveals a hidden truth: how many people feel an urgent needto reach their goals while continuing to work toward their targets.Exams function as tools to assess learning but they develop into something moresignificant. The tests transform into performance expectations that people fromdifferent groups, including their parents and teachers and friends and themselves, create. Students who follow their study schedules while hearing the sound ofclock ticks need to remember that each test score represents a student whoworks hard to learn academic material and emotional skills. The pressure we experience at work provides us with two benefits. Stressfulsituations teach us how to develop strength, manage our time effectively, andmaintain harmony between different aspects of our existence. The path tosuccess requires continuous effort because both personal development andcommitment to work must guide our journey. The content of this document presents methods to control exam-related stress, psychological techniques that help maintain mental stability and personalaccounts that demonstrate the fundamental principle that people experienceemotional distress together. We also encourage you to take a step back whenneeded, to rest, to breathe, and to recognise that your well-being matters just asmuch as your achievements. The readers who study this edition will discover the peace that exists betweentwo extreme situations and of solving problems through understanding that existsbetween two opposite conditions. Your exams will evaluate your knowledge butthey will not determine your value as a person. The person who exists beyondeach assessment possesses abilities that extend beyond what any evaluation canmeasure.Happy Reading,Editorial BoardLetter From the EditorialBoard

Canvas ChroniclesThe fiery streaks of thick, distorting bands ofcrimson, terracotta and muted yellow makethe sunset feel unsettling against themidnight and emerald water - the mancovering his ears as if that were his onlylifeline as passers-by walk normally, notfeeling the dread in the man we see. Alonestood the man, hiding from the scream. As students, exam pressure and stresshave brought us to the same place weSee the subject of this masterpiece byEdvard Munch, with four additions made from1893 to 1910.‘The Scream’ lives up to the hypeof being one of the most iconic allegories ofanxiety, nspired by the painter's personal ,experience making it more relatable. As students, we face high pressure andexpectations, leading to anxiety and extreme pressure. The painting depictswhat it feels like to stand amid the noise of nature.Contrary to popular belief, the subject isn’t the one screaming- rather, his handsare covering his ears, protecting himself from the scream of his mind. Likewise, students suffering from anxiety during the times of examinations often feel as iftheir brains are screaming and are unable to stop it. Another very importantpart, often overlooked, is the two men a few meters away from the subject, walking away, unremarkably, which shows the ignorance of our society towardsthe mental health of students, unaware of their loud minds haunting everymistake they make.Examinations are a time when mental health is terribly neglected. This is a crucial time; students have to take breaks and know when to drawboundaries with their health. This work of Edvard Munch expresses the life andanxieties of a student with every brush stroke.Taani | XA 4
It is a known fact that during the exam period, it can get really overwhelming. Timemay seem short, the syllabus may seem wide, and the pressure may seem high. However, let me let you in on a secret: it is not the pressure that is the enemy. Onthe contrary, a certain level of pressure can be a good thing. It is a reminder thatwhat you are doing is important. The enemy is when the pressure takes over, instead of the other way around. Many people think that they must be motivatedto study. Well, let me break it to you: motivation is a myth. Some days you may feellike studying, and other days you may not. And guess what? That is perfectlynormal. What is important is routine.Another common pitfall is the search for perfection. Learners may think they mustlearn everything in one go or finish the entire syllabus without making anymistakes. This leads to unnecessary pressure and frustration. Improvement is animperfect process. It is perfectly okay if the first revision is messy or if mistakesare made in the process. What is important is continuous engagement andimprovement over time.In situations where tasks may be overwhelming, the most effective approach is tobreak them down into smaller chunks. Instead of saying to oneself,“I need tocomplete the entire chapter,” it is better to say,“I will complete five questions.”This makes things much less overwhelming and makes it much easier to start.Once engagement is initiated, it is much easier to maintain it.Moreover, it is important to manage distractions, especially those from mobiledevices. It is important to avoid allowing short intervals of distraction to turn intolonger intervals away from studying. In examinations, one’s ability to concentrate isa major strength.Furthermore, it is important not to forget sleep. While it may seem that stayingawake throughout the night is a productive use of one’s time, it is important toremember that it negatively impacts memory and concentration. A well-restedcognitive system functions at a much higher rate than a sleep-deprived one. Finally, it is important to remember that examinations do not define a person’sworth in society. Instead, they define how well-prepared a person is.Wisdom CornerVansh | XE 5

Every startup has a story. The Canva story is groundbreaking. Canva did notbecome what it is today overnight. It all started with an idea and in all fairness, hardwork. The founder of Canva, Melanie Perkins, realized there was a problemwhen she had to teach students how to use design software. The studentsthought software such as Photoshop was too complicated and took time to learn.Melanie Perkins'mind struck a thought,\"What if I could make design simple foreveryone? What if I could make design easy for everyone to use?\" Before Canva,Melanie and her partner worked on a project called Fusion Books. It was a projectwhere students could design their school yearbooks online. The project was asuccess. This success made Melanie and her partner confident about working onCanva. Starting Canva was not easy for Melanie. Many investors did not thinkCanva was an idea at first. They did not want to invest in it. Melanie did not giveup on her project. She kept working on Canva. She kept telling the investors aboutCanva and her ideas for Canva. At the end, Canva was launched in 2012. Initially, itgrew slowly. The people using Canva were mainly students and small businesses.Canva was different because it was easy to use. Popularity grew as people toldothers about Canva. Today, Canva offers templates and team features. Due to itsaccessible interface and interactive design, Canva is popular among millions ofusers worldwide. The story of Canva teaches us that success does not happenquickly. We must be patient and believe in our ideas just like Melanie did with herdream. Petra stands as one of the world's most breathtakinghistorical sites which exists in the remote desertarea of southern Jordan. Known as the “Rose City”for its pink-hued sandstone cliffs, Petra wasestablished by the Nabataeans over two thousandyears ago. Once a thriving trade centre, it nowserves as a strong testament to historicalengineering achievements and artistic excellence. The route to Petra starts at the Siq, a narrow gorgethat leads into Petra through its rock formations. Thewinding passageway reveals the famous Al-Khaznehwhich people know as the Treasury because itscreators built it through rock wall construction. Thearea contains numerous tombs and temples andbuildings which include the spectacular Monastery(Ad Deir) that offers visitors stunning vistas afterthey ascend the mountain.UNESCO recognizes Petra as a World Heritage Sitewhile it also ranks among the New Seven Wonders ofthe World because it possesses exceptionalhistorical and cultural importance. The best time tovisit is during spring or autumn, when the weather iscomfortable for exploration. The Treasury becomesvisible through Petra by Night which creates anunforgettable experience with its candle-litatmosphere.A visit to Petra is not just sightseeing— it is a journeyinto history, beauty, and timeless wonder. If— by Rudyard Kipling is not a new poem. In fact, it is morethan 100 years old! But it has found its way into our dailylives, especially at a time when students require courageand perseverance the most. Exam season is a time whenmany students and parents feel pressure and worry, thispoem is therefore vital to remember. The poem first talks about the importance of staying calmand keeping a cool head. The poet says that one mustkeep one's head when everyone around them is losingtheirs or blaming them. One must trust themselves andtheir judgment when everyone is doubtful, while alsolearning from their doubts. The second stanza deals with dreams and reality. The poetemphasizes the importance of dreams and ambitions inlife but also warns that they must not become a person’smaster. He wants the reader to treat success and defeatnot as opposites but as equals, and to work hard even with“worn out tools”.The third passage talks about courage and willpower. Whenwe are willing to bet all our winnings and then start anew, that is courage. And willpower is when, even after one'sbody has given up, they still survive because the will thatheld the body together kept them.Lastly, the poet mentions the importance of humility. Hesays one must walk with kings and not forget commonpeople, not rely too much on anyone, and make the mostof their time. He concludes that if his son can do all this, heshall become the king of the world.Poem Review Worth - A - VisitPoetry And Book ReviewAryav | XIIB Bhavya | XIIB 11
