of our favorite chefs, combines Asian, Mediterra-

baby bok choy, jalapeño and peanuts.

Vintage VINTAGE

brunch. To indulge in the greatest mid-day cuisine
in Vail Valley, allow our Curators to reserve a table
at Vintage ̶ a French brasserie-style restaurant
serving champagne brunch daily until 1:30 pm.
Cuvée guests rave about their Huckleberry
Bacon French Toast and Eggs Benedictine.

MATSUHISA

Matsuhisa Vail is the child of one of our favorite,
world-renowned head chefs, Chef Nobu. Known
for his innovative fusion cuisine blending tradi-
tional Japanese dishes with Peruvian and Argen-
tinian ingredients, a reservation at Matsuhisa is
sure to be one of the highlights of your vacation.
Enjoy high-end Japanese fusion fare and Cu-
vée's favorite sushi dishes. We recommend the
Broiled Black Cod with Miso sauce or King Crab
Tempura.

SWEET BASIL

As the name Cuvée was derived from a French
term meaning blend of wines, we very much ap-
preciate a restaurant with an outstanding som-
melier. Sweet Basil is truly a destination for wine
connoisseurs, with the list highlighting over 500
carefully chosen bottles from around the world.
A Vail Valley gourmet staple since 1977, this cre-

LADIES’ WINTER FASHION

Whether you choose to hit the slopes, or relax in your penthouse suite, bundling up is key
when it comes to winter in the Vail Valley. We recommend function first, then fashion, as
the temperature can easily drop below 0°. Warm layers, starting with a quality base-layer
of cashmere or Smartwool long underwear, topped with a sweater or flannel top, and
insulated ski pants or jeans, make a huge difference. Suede or velvet pants are great
for evening dinners. Most importantly, make sure all extremities are well covered - think
wool socks, insulated boots and cashmere-lined leather gloves, all topped off with a warm
beanie.

MEN’S For warmer spring days,
MOUNTAIN STYLE opt for denim, flannel
and wool layers.
One of the biggest faux pas when it comes
to men’s fashion on the mountain is not
taking your ski clothing seriously. In oth-
er words, no jeans allowed on the slopes!
Instead, opt for a high-quality, waterproof
and insulated jacket and good pair of ski
pants. These will be well worth the in-
vestment, especially when riding the lift
in sub-zero temperatures. When off the
slopes elect for a good quality, 3/4 length
wool or down coat, as well as a well-con-
structed pair of winter boots. Choose a
waterproof exterior with deep treads that
are tough enough to handle any winter
storm.

PRE-TRIP PLANNING:

Getting Here:
The Vail Valley is serviced by both Eagle Airport and Denver International Airport (DIA). Eagle Airport offers
non-stop service to major cities and is just a 20 minute drive from Vail or 30 minute drive from Beaver Creek.
DIA is 100 miles east (approximately 2 hour drive) of Vail Valley.

International Travel:
Visitors traveling from outside of the United States are required to posses passports valid for six months be-
yond the period of their intended stay. Airline reservation name must match your passport exactly!

Transportation:
Whether you need transportation to and from the airport, or would prefer pre-arranged transportation for
your entire stay, let our Cuvée Curators and winter driving experts assist with any questions or reservations
you might require.

Weather:
January and February offer the best chances for fresh powder, but temperatures can be very chilly. In February,
the average high temperature is 33° and the average low is 8°. Although it will be cold, the high elevation and
close proximity to the sun can easily lead to sunburn, so don't forget your sunscreen!

Altitude:
The altitude at the base of Vail Mountain is 8,100 feet, which can be quite an adjustment for those accustomed
to living at sea level. Most visitors acclimate to the thin air within the first few days, but be sure to drink extra
water and consume moderate amounts of alcohol your first evening.

Experiences:
Our Experience Curators work only with the best-of-the-best destination experience providers, all of whom
have been personally inspected and approved to the highest Cuvée standards. We take full responsibility for
our guest experiences and would never outsource this to a company that we have not pre-approved.

Assistance:
Please contact us with any questions at [email protected] or call 855.485.4257.

We have always stayed at the Four Seasons and weren't sure how Cuvée
would stack up prior to our arrival. We were so pleased to get even better,

“ ”more detailed itineraries and arrangements than in our previous visits to
Vail. The team is top notch and the service was outstanding.
