FLIGHT PATH
There will be a total of 6 departure flights where the pre-flight safety briefing (Julia’s
Vision Video) will be shown. After the video, each team member will receive their
Passport for their “Round the HPH World” flight from a member of the crew.
Travellers will collect Boarding Passes along their journey for duty free shopping
during launch. (ie: boarding pass is awarded if a photo of the traveller is added to
the passport with another one if it makes a member of the crew laugh).
Monday December 4th 10:30am, 12:30pm, 4:30pm and 6:30pm
Tuesday December 5th at 10:30am and 2:30pm
Following the safety briefing, travellers are free to complete their round the HPH
world trip in any order they see fit dependent on flight availability.
There will be a total of five available layovers for each traveller.
LAYOVERS
The travellers would travel to each of the five continents
ASIA - FAMILY
The layover will be 1 hour (session length)
4 sessions will be held on Monday December 4th and 2 sessions on Tuesday 5th
December immediately following the flight path video to capture the maximum
amount of travellers.
Monday December 4th 10:45am, 12:45pm, 4:45pm and 6:45pm
Tuesday December 5th at 10:45am and 2:45pm
All Travellers will be split off into tour groups for sightseeing in Asia (to replicate the
tallest landmark, Burj Khalifa in the continent using newspaper and paperclips only in
teams of 4/6) Winning tour group members each receive a bonus boarding pass.
As the team discover the local scenery and reflecting on how they feel during their
trip, they will be mapping their journey for other Tourists (Mapping the Guest
Experience from our largest growing market - Leisure Guest). The same map will be
recapped and then used for each layover and added to. The person who the crew
feel contributes the most will be issued with a boarding pass.
Each Country (department) will be issued with two Gold Cards (Random Acts of
Kindness nomination slips) to be used during the duration of the journey. One can be
issued to a tourist for a reward and one to a fellow traveller from another country
(Different department). The pilot or co-pilot will explain the terms and conditions of
the Gold Cards to the Travellers.
EUROPE – LOCAL ENGAGEMENT
The layover will be all day (session length)
Exhibition will be open Monday afternoon December 4th and throughout the day on
Tuesday 5th and Wednesday 6th December.

Tuesday December 5th 10:30-12pm and 1pm-4pm
Wednesday December 6th 10:30-12pm and 1pm-4pm
Our passengers are free to travel individually or in small groups to the continent of
Europe and their itinerary include visiting SPP Gallery’s temporary exhibition:
“Guernsey charm: Reflecting on the style, sustainability and a modern business
perspective of on-island partnerships”. Travellers are encouraged to explore the
exhibit at their own pace. Admission fee will support the gallery’s nominated
charities (GSPCA, Cheshire Homes, Les Bourg Hospice) and our guests will learn
about each artist (local suppliers and their product) in detail via interactive,
multimedia stands sponsored by SPP Intercontinental Airlines. Travellers will be able
to utilize their boarding passes to join the following tours in 2018: Blue Bottle Gin
distillery visit, Guernsey Golden Goat Cheese Farm visit, Rocquette Cider tour,
GSPCA tour…
Passengers will sign the visitor’s book before leaving the exhibition. (Visitor’s book will
include a quiz on local food and beverage item to test their knowledge and will also
include a page where they can write feedback on the exhibition and on local
produce).
A light snack will be provided for all visitors (tasting of Guernsey Golden goat
cheese, Guernsey milk, Ben Le Prevost chocolate, Guernsey crab…)
AMERICAS - INDIVIDUALITY
The layover will be 1 hour (session length)
3 sessions will be held on Monday December 4th and 2 sessions on Tuesday 5th and
Wednesday 6th December

Our travellers will have a unique opportunity to visit SPP Studios and audition for
Intercontinental X factor: Americas addition (“Who am I” - groups of twos will
interview each other about unique talents, characteristics and prepare a flipchart
on each other for the group. Group will than guess the person. Discussion on what
individuality mean to them when thinking about our guests).
After the audition we visit Disneyland where the Disney magic will make our
passengers feel like a child again (Baby pictures - all team members will provide a
baby picture prior to launch and these pictures will be displayed on a large board,
numbered. The person who guesses the most pictures correctly wins a bonus
boarding pass).
AUSTRALIA – WELCOMING
The layover will be all day (session length)
Lounge will be open Monday afternoon December 4th and throughout the day on
Tuesday 5th and Wednesday 6th December.

Having passed through security all passengers will enter the ‘SPP Intercontinental
Priority Lounge’ where dedicated airside lounge attendants will be serving hot drinks
and tempting desserts. Travellers will be able to relax in comfort whilst watching a
video showcasing many of the happy smiley people they will encounter on their visit.
Passengers will be requested to write a welcome message in their native language
on the Lounge Visitor’s VIP Cloth - this will further be utilised as a welcome card
picture that will be air-mailed to all new passengers (employees) in the future.
In order to get to know our passengers a little better they will be asked to list some of
their favourite things including meals, sport and aftershave or perfume – this will then
be used to individually reward and recognise valued passenger contributions in the
future.
Whilst anticipating embarking for their next departure our passengers will partake in
an idea sharing activity to help upgrade our welcome package for both future
guests and employees.
Finally, in order to successfully pass though the boarding gate, passengers will need
to check and adjust themselves accordingly using the body language mirror.
AFRICA - INITIATIVE
The layover will be 1 hour (session length)
3 sessions will be held on Monday December 4th and 2 sessions on Tuesday 5th and
Wednesday 6th December

Due to the time-difference all passengers will feel like they have landed in the
morning, indeed feeling the jet-lagged effect! - the first wake-up call will be a
sharpen up session re-capping on the rise and shine modules.
Whilst waiting for ground staff, passengers will work in teams to read and role-play
back recent guest reviews. Fellow passengers will give feedback so as to share and
discuss ideas, best practice and prior knowledge on how the experience could be
improved.
On disembarkation from the aeroplane our passengers will post-notes along our
national celebration schedule 2018 to share ideas on upsell activities that we could
partake in prior to, and during the celebration both for guests and fellow employees.
BOARDING PASSES
Travellers will collect Boarding Passes along their journey for duty free shopping
during launch.
DUTY FREE SHOPPING
Each stamped boarding pass can be exchanged for Spa Retail Gifts at cost, 50%
discount on Spa Treatments, 50% Discount on Food, 50% discount on beverage or
50% on room upgrade experience.
CUSTOMS
Each passport will be stamped in each continent by the Customs Officers and once
the travellers’ passport has been stamped from each continent, it must be
surrendered to the Embassy (GM Office) for processing.
The Senior Customs Officer will randomly select a fully stamped passport for further
screening (Killer question regarding an aspect of their trip) If they pass further
screening they will be able to travel freely at their leisure (return trip on the Aurigny
network). If they do not pass the further screening another traveller will be selected
at random.
CATERING
SPP Intercontinental will launch new In-flight menu on 3rd December (featuring local
food and beverage items)
