HISTORY OF STADIUM HANG JEBAT

Hang Jebat Stadium is a stadium used for football activities. Hang Jebat Stadium is located
on Kampung Paya Rumput, Krubong in the state of Malacca, Malaysia. The construction of
Hang Jebat Stadium began when former Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali bin Mohd
Rustam gazetted 12 tourism sub-sectors in which Tourism Sports was one of the gazetted
sectors. As Sports Tourism can bring huge returns to the state of Malacca, an international
stadium has been set up to meet the needs of the sector. As such, Hang Jebat Stadium was
completed in September 2004 and is in full operation. Hang Jebat Stadium is home to the
Hang Jebat Sports Complex and is also one of the most popular sports venues in the state.
With six acres, Hang Jebat Stadium can accommodate 40,000 people at a time. Hang Jebat
Stadium offers a variety of sports facilities as well as other amenities including indoor and
outdoor showrooms, meeting rooms, seminar rooms, business centers, and many other
amenities including a cozy children's playground. Recreational sports facilities are also
provided here such as Mini Motorcycle Racing tracks, and more. Other facilities include
comfortable parking, referee room, referee room, ticket counter, horse cleaning, utility
stores, VIP room, surau, dressing room, media room, treatment room, meeting room,
management office, and room secretariat.

CAPACITY.

The Hang Jebat stadium has a capacity of
40,000 people. This stadium is the biggest
stadium in Malacca. Bigger than Stadium
Hang Tuah. This shows that this stadium is
quite big to attend by a big crowd and held a

big event. In Malaysia, this stadium is
number eight the biggest. There are also
have three stadiums that have the same

capacity which 40,000. Penang state
stadium, Sarawak Stadium, and Sultan
Ibrahim stadium has the same capacity in
the stadium. With six acres, Hang Jebat
Stadium can accommodate 40,000 people at

a time.

FACILITIES

Hang Jebat Stadium is 16 years old and has never been
renovated because of its international facilities.
Facilities include tracks, VIP rooms, dressing rooms for
home and away teams, surau, scoreboards, and more.
As the stadium is home to the Melaka United Fc, so
the facilities must be in good condition. In addition,
the stadium is also the main venue for the Sukma
2010. The stadium became active when the Melaka
United F.C successfully advanced from the second
league to the first league. The management has
upgraded the facilities to meet the demands of the Hang Jebat Stadium Scoreboard
fans. So the management must provide great
maintenance to keep the facilities can work well in
future

MAINTENANCE 

Every year, Hang Jebat’s stadiums fill up with excited fans hoping to see their team
start off the year with a victory. These same fans inevitably damage stadium assets such as
seats and restroom fixtures either through abuse or through added wear and tear. In some
cases assets may need to be replaced however, in other situations stadium assets can avoid
being replaced with proper preventive maintenance, inspections and minor repair work. The
key is having stadium maintenance staff be proactive and not always reactive.
                              In order to have a proactive maintenance staff, they need to have the proper
Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) tools that will help them
organize and expedite the work management process. The reasons a CMMS system work so
well for Hang Jebat’s Stadiums is that a CMMS gives maintenance management the control
they need by:

Automating the work request and work order process thus reducing paper flow so time
is not wasted fumbling through manual work orders and inspections checklist.
Tracking the location and condition of all stadium’s assets by creating a user-friendly
database that eliminates the need for spreadsheets.
Integrating mobile devices for speeding up work management such as using the
handhelddevice to perform inspections or viewing a work order.
Tracking all maintenance history on assets so that maintenance management can
analyze the data and see where most work is coming from every game and plan
accordingly.
Making asset inspections easy and much faster so that maintenance can be planned.

Together all these benefits of a CMMS streamline the work management process and enable
more work to be done with the same amount of resources. The additional time saved is then
used for proactive preventive maintenance scheduling. The result is assets are kept in better
working conditions, need replacement less often, last longer, and be more energy-efficient.

CONCLUSIONS

In conclusion, Hang Jebat Stadium was one of
the great stadiums in Malaysia, This is because

its facilities that have an
international level of quality that has been used

pf hosted many international
events and games. Such as, National Football

team match and SUKMA and many
more. It was an honor to do this research even

there are many circumstances
because of the current station which is RMO

because of Covid-19. But because of
the experience that we get from there because

we have been there so it helps us
to gain information and also mediated resources

also helps us in additional
information about the stadium in this research.

However, we hope the facilities
will be kept and take care because it can help in

reduce costs when it comes to
maintenance or repair operation. In order to the

extent of the facilities and
equipment life span, management must take

care to clean each facility and
equipment and make sure there will not

overused.
