Many sailors from all three U.S. A few of our Silver Fleet Optimist sailors, Kevin

the U.S.A, competed in the 25th England to participate in the Sail Newport
International Optimist Regatta Youth Challenge. In a fleet of 40 sailors, Kevin
(IOR), held June 16-18 in St. earned 2nd in Blue Fleet and 7th overall while

JULY 4TH ROUND ROBINS TENNIS TIP: RESILIENCY

We had two great events on the 4th of July starting with our Men’s Round Imagine you are set point down in a long rally. You are fighting, trying to
Robin and finishing with our Parent/Child round robin. John Malkin was the stay in the set with everything you have. Then your opponent hits a
winner of the Men’s Round Robin with Mark Carpenter and Bryan Long close cross-court backhand off the net cord. You watch the ball pop in the air
behind. and land on your side. Despite your best efforts, you are now a set down.

JUNIOR TENNIS If you want to come back in the match, the issue is not your luck. A
leprechaun is not playing tricks on you. If you focus on your misfortune,
you will struggle. The key is to be able to accept what has happened and
refocus on tennis. You must be resilient!
