Exploring with Luna in
Greenway Forest.
By:Olivia Sachs
It was a beautiful day for walking in Greenway
Forest. It was a great name for the forest because
everything was green.
Well except for the Fountain of Youth and the
amazing red Phoenix.
I sat down and leaned against a tall redwood tree. It was
so tall that it topped all the other redwood trees.
I like to be alone a lot. It helps me concentrate on other
things that’s why I come out here to be alone.
Alone
It was so quiet I almost fell asleep, I guess the
phoenix’s cries have an effect on me.
After a while, I did fall asleep. I started dreaming about
what was going to happen once I go to Hogwarts School
Of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
I was fairly excited that I, Luna Lovegood, would get to
go to the only Wizard school for miles.
Then something made a noise in the bushes near me,
and I woke up immediately and yelled,” who’s there?”
Who’s there?
I went to go see what was going on. At first I thought it was a
little tiny bird, but then it made a very loud cry like, “NEIGH”
I backed up a bit for a while then I went back to see if it
was still there. It finally came out. A huge Centaur jumped
so high above my head dropping something in my hands.
I yelled for it to come back. I yelled and yelled, but it
didn’t come back
I checked to see what they dropped in my hands. It was a
note.
Here is what the note said.
Dear Luna Lovegood,
Luna, I am a Centaur. We come from Hogwarts with a message.
A message from Dumbledore. Luna, I am very excited to be having you this year,
but unfortunately, there has been a delay in your arrival. we are sorry to tell you
this but you may not attend Hogwarts until the Hogwarts Express is fixed. You
may gather your stuff for Hogwarts like your supplies and your pet. Have a
wonderful day.
Sincerely,
- Headmaster Albus Dumbledore
“Wow, Albus Dumbledore himself wrote to me?” I thought the day
would never come.
But when the centaur came back, he raised his two front legs
and neighed so loud that not only did all of Greenway Forest
hear it but all of the city of London heard it.
After he settled down, he asked me, “Did you read it?” I said,
“Yes, but what’s wrong with the train?”
He said, “Well Hagrid got mad at Mad-Eye Moody and
tore the train apart, but only the back, so thank goodness it will
only take a week.”
I told him thank you for telling me and giving me the note,
and he said “You are welcome.”
After that, I said, “Goodbye.”
He left and went back to his family, and I just stayed there by
the Fountain Of Youth with the Phoenix’s singing and my
wonderful book of mythical creatures. And then I fell asleep
again.
