Dok puste ulice zjape iščekujući prolaznika, a grad sablazno spava usred bijela dana, ljudi zatvoreni
u kućama pretvaraju svoje kuhinje u mini pekare.

Mirisi toplog kruha se šire stubištem. Tako je to bilo u trenucima nesigurnosti zbog Corona infekcije
kad su se ljudi okretali svom kruhu, kao mjestu utjehe ili sigurnosti da ne kupuju kruh koji su drugi

dotakli.

Tada se i rodila ideja o pokretanju ovoga projekta sa učenicama završnog razreda Obrtničke škole -
smjera kozmetičar.

Naime, osim uvažavanja nutricionističke dobrobiti hrane proizvedene u kućnom okruženju, kao

mentor imala sam prvenstveno na umu poznatu činjenicu da kuhanje i pečenje imaju antistresni
učinak. Kad se tome pribroji i to da pred sobom imate mlade djevojke koje će uskoro maturirati i

krenuti u život, izlišno je daljnje uvjeravanje u dugoročni uspjeh ovog projekta.


Kuhalo se, mijesilo, miksalo, peklo, sirilo, kiselilo, fritulavalo i razvlačilo prve domaće kore za pitu.

Da, kad uspijemo ispeći svoj prvi kruh to postaje stvar ponosa. I bile su ponosne, moje cure. Na
sebe i svoju razrednicu. Iako je dosad ispekla bezbroj kruhova za svoju obitelj, Corona pandemija joj

je donijela jedno novo iskustvo u kulinarskom smislu. Uzgojila je vlastiti divlji kvasac od brašna i vode
i od njega je nastao kvalitetniji i probavljiviji kruh za obitelj. To je proces koji zahtjeva vrijeme,

strpljenje i brigu, ali vrijedi.

Kada se, vrlo skoro, vratimo svom uobičajenom životu, nadam se da će sadašnja „kruhomanija“
pomoći podići svijest o važnosti kruha kao simbola i ljudi koji peku profesionalno kruh. Sigurna sam
kako sam potakla svoje učenice da na ručni rad i vještine gledaju s više poštovanja i uvažavanja i da
nam je ova pandemija pomogla da razumijemo kako možemo biti bolji u svom životu.
