How do geometric shapes help us
create a blueprint?

Step 3

Explain how each shape
represents a different aspect of
where you want to go. For
example, squares, triangles, and
rectangles help us represent
different buildings and structures
within a school. The tables and
desks are represented by
rectangles. The Easel is
represented as a square.

Explain Details of where you want to go (Step 4)

Example: I drew NYE Elementary school
because it’s my favorite place to go
and I grew up there. My blueprint
contains many desks, chairs, and
projectors. I remember doing many
projects in my 5th grade class and it was
really fun. I have lots of memories
growing up In my elementary school.

Explain the PROCESS of how to calculate
Area and Perimeter of Triangles, Squares,
and Rectangles. Example-
The square represents the desks at the
school. The formula for Area is base times
height. In order to find the area, of the
shape, you would multiple 3 units by 3 units
to get 9 square units. The perimeter is
calculated by adding all of the sides
together. Since there are 4 sides, 3 + 3 +3
+3= 12 units.
