Reflective Essay

It was a great opportunity to be able to participate in the Adjunct Certification Program.
I commend Lone Star for implementing this program because no matter how long you have
been teaching, there is always room for improvement and always new things to learn.

I not only met some interesting peers, but also learned a few tricks of the trade from
them. I was impressed with the level of creativity in their projects. I thought the instructor was
excellent. She was very responsive to student needs in a timely manner. When you are working
on a virtual platform, it is important to get questions answered quickly, especially when meeting
deadlines.

I found the course to be challenging—it made me stretch my creativity in developing a
well-planned outline for teaching. The course also provided me with a deeper form of learning,
and how to apply it in the classroom. I plan to use several of the techniques, tools, etc.
presented in class in my future classes.
