Why Are you tired of going through the motions?
Goal
Setting? Setting goals is one pivotal step toward
living intentionally, especially as the new
3 | Together in the Word year approaches.

In 2018, I decided I didn't want to just coast
through life. I set some very specific goals
and, as a result, I had probably the best year
of my entire life! This one year altered the
course of my destiny.

We should never underestimate the power
of goal setting.

As we approach 2020, let's take a moment
and re-evaluate some things.

I always feel like the new year is an
excellent, built-in change of seasons, and an
opportunity to start fresh.

Start. Stop. Continue.

WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT'S LEADING, ASK YOURSELF THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS.

IN 2020, WHAT WILL I START DOING?

WHAT WILL I STOP DOING?

WHAT WILL I CONTINUE DOING?

Setting SMART Goals TogetherInTheWord.com

BUILDING FOR SUCCESS raey tseb ruoy ot terces eht

1. Specific

What exactly do you want to accomplish? Be specific.
Make sure your goals are clear and concise. What do you want to accomplish?
How will you achieve this? Where will it take place?

2. Measurable

How will you know if you accomplished this goal?
Can you actually track progress toward this goal?

3. Achievable

Is achieving this goal actually realistic?
Is this something I can truly accomplish by the end of 2020?

4. Relevant

Does this goal help you grow closer to God, love others well, or otherwise grow
as a person?
Is this goal consistent with what you want to achieve in life? Does it bring you
closer to where you want to be?

5. Time-bound

What is your deadline? For most of us, that will be Dec. 31, 2020.
Having a deadline creates a sense of urgency, which means you're more likely
to reach this goal.
