She is caring and loyal. She has a strong sense of what
is right and wrong. She has an unmatched sense of duty
and can always be relied upon to keep her word.
Responsible and analytical, she approaches life from a
practical perspective. Selena is a sociable introvert. She
needs time to herself but people are the main focus of
her life. Caring and thoughtful, she carefully considers
how her actions impact others. She values meaningful
connections and she is deeply loyal. Despite being

Introduction

Selena Gomez has become one of today's rising young
stars. She's an actress and recording artist and is most
widely known for her starring role as Alex Russo on
Disney Channel's Wizards of Waverly Place. Selena
Gomez and the Scene is a pop music band with Selena
Gomez as the lead singer. Selena decided she didn't
want to make solo albums, but wanted to be part of a
band. So she started up the band The Scene. Their first
two albums went gold selling over 500,000 copies. In
2010 the band won Breakout Artist of the Year at the
Teen Choice Awards.

Biography

Selena Gomez, who grew up in a suburb of Dallas,
began her acting career in 2002 as a child on the PBS
children's TV series Barney & Friends. She began her
music career on Disney projects, including singing the
theme song for Wizards of Waverly Place, in which she
also starred. In 2013, she released her first solo album
"Stars Dance" and the lead single "Come & Get It" from
the album, became Gomez's first top ten entry on the
Billboard Hot 100 list. She starred in Getaway,
Rudderless and Behaving Badly. In 2015, she released
her second solo album "Revival," which debuted #1 on
the Billboard 200 list, and starred in Hotel Transylvania
2 , The Fundamentals of Caring , In Dubious Battle,
and Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising.

Spiritual Belief

Selena Gomez is Christian, but does not consider
herself religious. She instead focuses on her faith and
relationship with God, used to attend Hillsong Church
in Los Angeles, and has covered songs by Christian
artists. One of her latest songs was also written about
God. “I'm very, very spiritual,” she says. “I believe in
God, but I'm not religious. I've been a Christian for a
while now. I don't talk about it too much—I want to, but
it's gotten a bad rep."
