1.1 a) Define natural numbers (N), whole numbers (W), integers (Z), prime numbers, rational numbers (Q) and irrational numbers (Q').

*Present odd and even numbers in general form.

**Include positive integers and positive rational numbers

***Highlight difference between rational and irrational numbers.

****Introduce repeating decimal

*****Exclude: Represent decimal number as a quotient.

1.1 b) Represent the relationship of number sets in a real number system diagrammatically showing N ⊂ W ⊂ Z ⊂ Q  and Q ∪ Q'=R.

*Use of Venn Diagrams and structure diagram.
