Know-How of the Ideal Solution
Gas to be Detected: Oxygen (O2)

1. Type of Sensor Used:
Electrochemical Sensor for O2: It uses an electrochemical reaction
to generate a current proportional to the gas concentration. The
instrument then displays the gas concentration in parts per million
(% V/V). The sensor is capable of detecting the gas concentration in
the 0 – 25% V/V range having with a resolution of 0.1 for O2 gas.

2.Location of the Detector:
The selection of the mounting location of the detection system is
very important. The gas detector should be installed near the source
of the leakage and at a height of 4-6 feet above floor level.
We recommend installing O2 monitoring system inside each
working area with an inbuilt Hooter-cum-Flasher so that people
working in that area can evacuate the room once the alarm goes off.
Ambetronics integrates all the gas detectors to a multi-channel Gas
monitor which is installed in the security officer’s cabin.
We also suggest installing one alarm in a corridor, & finally an
alarm in the security officer's cabin.
The guard not only can check the readings given by individual
detectors but is also alerted by the Hooter cum Flasher that goes off
whenever the gas concentration reaches the alarm set points.

3. Alarm Activation: To ensure the safety of the personal in the
critical area, it’s recommended to set the Alarm levels as below:
Alarm 1: 19.25% V/V
Alarm 2: 18.5% V/V
