THE GERMAN COLONY The German Colony is a picturesque and affluent neighborhood in

Jerusalem established in 1873 by German Templars, bringing a European atmosphere into the Middle-Eastern
setting. The Jerusalem stone-clad buildings are adorned with wooden windows and diverse greenery, all

YITZHAK A. CREMIEUX STREET Yitzhak A. Cremieux Street is an established, sought-after street in

Jerusalem, located in the German Colony. The street is named after a French-Jewish statesman
who was a social activist in favor of extending equal rights to Jews in France. This quiet and picturesque street

features small boutique buildings of a unique architectural style proper to Jerusalem.

THE HOUSE ON CREMIEUX STREET The House on Cremieux Street stands on a quiet street in the heart of

the German Colony, on the corner of Cremieux and Smuts Street. It is a unique architectural gem combining modernity and 21st-
century innovation while boasting the Jerusalem tradition we all know and love.

The combination of Jerusalem stone and natural wood creates a warm sense of cozy intimacy.
Designated as a heritage site for conservation, its restoration was performed by the well-known Della Pergola Architects firm under
the supervision of architectural conservator Giora Solar following the Jerusalem municipality’s conservation guidelines. An ancient

cistern was discovered and then restored to constitute an integral part of the structure during the work.
The house has windows on all four sides and a large garden.
