Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 3 Adventure Seeds The morning after the party arrives in Castle Grauenburg, the fragments of Saint Shawl’s sword have gone missing. The party are the only outsiders and suspicion is soon placed on them. Can they get to the bottom of who has stolen the relic and clear their name before it is too late? Friedbert Rehberg, a devoted monk who has served as the caretaker for Saint Shawl's Chapel for years, has recently begun to exhibit strange and unsettling behaviour. His once serene and peaceful demeanour has been replaced by fits of irrational anger and paranoia, and he has been plagued by raving nightmares that leave him trembling and distraught. Despite the efforts of priest Fuchs to comfort and care for him, Friedbert's condition only seems to be getting worse, and the future of the chapel and its faithful followers now hangs in the balance. Graf Wilhelm von Saponatheim's beloved daughter has been accused of witchcraft. Despite her pleas of innocence and the protest of her family, a pyre has been built in the castle courtyard, and the fate of the accused now hangs in the balance. Can the party uncover the truth of the matter before she burns at sundown? ♦ BEYOND THE WALLS ♦ This book provides a diverse range of buildings and locations, reflecting the diversity of the Empire’s people and its rich history. The examples detailed in this book serve to inspire and can be easily adapted to suit any campaign setting, offering unique locations to enrich your own creations. RELIGIOUS BUILDINGS Religion plays a crucial role in the Warhammer world, particularly within the Empire. The people of the Empire worship a pantheon of gods and goddesses, each associated with different aspects of life and nature. Religious buildings, such as temples, cathedrals, and shrines, are important centres of worship and community gathering. TEMPLE OF SIGMAR Saint Shawl’s Chapel In the heart of Castle Grauenburg stands a humble chapel with a remarkable history. Saint Shawl, venerated of the courageous swordsmen, reputation as a courageous and noble hero grew to legendary proportions after his stand against a Greenskin horde. It was said that Saint Shawl, armed only with his sword and his unshakable faith in Sigmar, stood alone against the oncoming Greenskin horde, holding them at bay and allowing his allies to retreat to safety. Over time, Saint Shawl's legacy grew, and his name became synonymous with courage and righteousness. In honour of his memory, a chapel was built in Castle Grauenburg, the seat of the von Saponatheim family of Reikland, who were known for their military prowess and their devotion to the Empire. The chapel was dedicated to his memory and became a spiritual sanctuary for those who sought to honour his memory and to seek his blessings. The Chapel is run by a retired Warrior Priest called Helmer Fuchs. For generations it has been a place of refuge and solace for those seeking the divine, particularly soldiers before going to war. A reliquary containing fragments of Saint Shawl's sword is kept in the chapel's inner sanctum, where it is protected by the faithful and revered by all who visited the chapel. The sword is a powerful symbol of Saint Shawl's legacy, a reminder of his courage and his unwavering devotion to his cause. Like many Sigmarite temples, the chapel is laid out in the shape of a hammer, a symbol that is sacred to the faithful of Sigmar. The thick stone walls of the chapel rise high into the air, giving the building a fortress-like appearance, offering a place for not only spiritual but also physical protection. The chapel is always open, welcoming all those who seek to honour the memory of Saint Shawl. However, Festag is the main day of worship, and on this day, the chapel is filled to bursting with faithful worshipers who come to pay their respects and offer their prayers to the venerated saint and Sigmar. At the end of the chapel, a raised dais is set aside for the altar, which is adorned with candles, flowers, and other offerings. Above the altar, a large statue of Saint Shawl stands tall, his mighty sword held aloft in his hand. Throughout the chapel, the air is filled with the aroma of incense which wafts through in gentle, swirling clouds. The sound of chanting and prayer echoes through the nave, filling the chapel with a sense of deep spirituality and devotion. Father Fuchs has run the chapel for the past decade, though during his youth he was a warrior priest but was forced to retire after his left leg was severed. He has a long salt and pepper beard that flows down to his chest. His face is etched with lines, a testament to the years he has lived, and his eyes convey a sense of deep wisdom and experience. He clutches a wooden walking stick in his right hand which he uses to support his thinning frame.

Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 5 Adventure Seeds A young priest of Morr, Cadwyr has begun to make a name for himself within the temple after having received several visions. More senior members of the cult have begun to grow suspicious after he began receiving regular shipments of an unknown product and suspect he is being bribed by local guild members to back their agenda with his 'visions'. The truth is far more sinister than anyone could suspect. The young prophet has become addicted to an illegal drink known as Dreamwine which has begun to corrupt his mind and is the source of these visions. High priestess and prophet Fortuna Morwenna has locked herself in the Mausoleum after receiving a disturbing vision in a dream. Her mad ravings have alerted the other members of the cult who have sought help from outside of the temple. The party have to resolve the issue at hand and uncover what exactly it was that she saw. A local merchant family has formed a monopoly on herbs and has begun to restrict their flow of them and hike prices. The Cult of Morr has grown wary, knowing that their temple requires substantial volumes of herbs to ensure their incense braziers remain lit. The Cult of Morr has sought aid to help resolve the monopoly before any further dispute can arise. TEMPLE OF MORR Mausoleum of Dreams The Mausoleum of Dreams is a foreboding black stone building, standing tall and proud in the heart of Carroburg. Its imposing dome-shaped oculus is the centrepiece of the structure, allowing a beam of light to filter through its centre and cast an eerie glow on the dark interior. The entrance to the Mausoleum is guarded by a pair of massive wooden doors, covered in intricate carvings depicting scenes of death and rebirth. Pushing open the doors, you are greeted by a thick cloud of incense smoke, filling the air with a pungent aroma. The interior of the Mausoleum is dimly lit with several braziers burning brightly, casting flickering shadows on the walls. The main hall is large and circular with alcoves lining the walls, each containing a statue of a raven adorned with the symbols of the god of death, Morr. In the centre of the hall on a raised stone platform sits an ornate chair. Here, the aged blind high priestess and prophet Fortuna Morwenna, dressed in flowing black embroidered robes, sits in silent contemplation, interpreting dreams and receiving visions from Morr himself. The walls of the Mausoleum are adorned with murals depicting the various stages of life and death, and the ceiling is painted with an intricate depiction of the night sky, dotted with stars and constellations. At the rear of the Mausoleum of Dreams, a narrow staircase winds its way up to a set of private quarters located on the upper level of the building. The stairs are steep and uneven, and the walls are slick with moisture and age, giving the impression that they have been carved from the very rock upon which the Mausoleum stands. The upper level of the building is reserved for the high priestess and other members of the Morr cult, and is inaccessible to outsiders. The private quarters are sparsely furnished and dimly lit, with heavy curtains covering the small windows to block out the light. The air is thick with the scent of incense and the musty smell of ancient stone. Descending the stairs from the main hall of the Mausoleum leads down to a subterranean chamber containing the remains of previous high priests and prophets of Morr. The Mausoleum is a dimly lit room with walls lined with tombs and crypts containing the bones and ashes of the departed. Torches flicker in the darkness, casting dancing shadows on the walls and ceiling, and the air is cold and musty. The silence is broken only by the occasional sound of dripping water echoing through the chamber. The Mausoleum is a place of reverence and respect, where the departed are honoured and remembered for their service to the god of death. It is a reminder of the impermanence of life and the inevitability of death, and serves as a solemn tribute to those who have come before. The Mausoleum of Dreams is a place of mystery and reverence, where dreams and visions are interpreted by the faithful.

The whispers grow louder as one approaches a towering statue of an unknown god. The statue has weathered the passage of time, and its features are almost impossible to discern. Yet, what is most striking about the statue is the strange acoustics that take place within the cave. The wind whips through the cave, causing strange echoes and whispers to fill the air. It's as though the statue itself is speaking to you, but in a language that is impossible to decipher. The whispers echo from all around, adding to the eerie and malevolent atmosphere of the cave.

LOST WONDER The Maiden Manann The Maiden Manann was a merchant and transport ship that sailed the seas between the Empire and Ulthuan, carrying goods and passengers from one land to the other. The ship was known for its speed and reliability. The ship was named after Manann, the god of the sea, and it was believed that his blessing gave The Maiden Manann the ability to navigate even the most treacherous waters. The ship was a sleek and sturdy vessel, designed for speed and manoeuvrability. It had a low profile and a streamlined hull, allowing it to cut through the waves with ease. One of the most notable features of the ship was its figurehead, a carving depicting the of the sea god Manann at the prow. However, despite its reputation and the skill of its crew, The Maiden Manann was not invincible. The sea was a harsh and unpredictable mistress, and even the best ships could fall victim to its fury. During a great storm, one of the worst in recent memory, the ship was battered by the fierce winds and waves and eventually succumbed to the tumultuous sea. The crew and cargo were lost, and the wreckage of the ship was never found and its location still remains a mystery. A High Elf noble of Lothern was said to be determined to acquire the painting, paying a handsome sum for the master painters great masterpiece, though regrettably was unable to ever lay his eyes upon it, having been lost as sea during its transportation. The news of The Maiden Manann sinking and the loss of his great masterpiece shook Von Kogh’s resolve. Over the following weeks he grew increasingly despondent, consumed by grief and fell into a depression. He withdrew from society and stopped painting altogether. Then he took his own life, unable to bear the weight of his loss any longer.
