The term "dessert" is used in America, Australia,
Canada, Ireland and France. In England, some
consider the word "dessert" to be abusive, and
instead call it "afters", "sweet" or "pudding". The
upper class preference is for "pudding." But they
will still call it a dessert spoon. However, in the
food business in England, dessert is definitely a
term used by food marketers and the like.
Calories and Glucose
Your body and brain depend on calories and glucose for
energy. This is one of the reasons diets increase your risk for
fatigue, foggy thoughts, food cravings and binge eating,
according to the National Eating Disorders Association.
Eating carbohydrate -rich desserts can help reduce feelings of
