Our clothing is amazing because
we made it out of fur, animal skins
and animal hides which is a
natural resource. Some of our
clothing was made of cloth.

Life in the mid Atlantic was hard!
Most people are farmers working
long hours in the fields. Men,
women, and children planted the
fields and harvested the crops.
Women and girls also helped out
with the household chores like
cooking and sewing. Women
and girls did more work than the
boys.

Middle colonies are
known for being a
bread basket colony.
They have corn,
squash, beans, sweet
potatoes, chicken,
turkey, and wheat.
And they have rich
soil and fertilizer.

had big cities
and pollution in
the sky in the
picture.

Most of the house features are
made out of wood and mud.
They were very dark inside
because they didn’t have any
windows. Wealthier families
lived in larger brick homes or log
houses. They had fireplaces so
they can see and be warm.
They usually build a larger home
of stone and cut wood for later.

William Penn started William Penn
Pennsylvania. King Charles
II owed William Penn’s
father money, so the king
gave the colony to William
Penn. The king also wanted
to get Penn out of England
because he was a Quaker.
Quaker is a kind of religion.
The people in Pennsylvania
Delaware
Agriculture/ Delaware grew corn
and wheat. A smaller number
grew tobacco. Mazie, corn,
squash, beans and sweet
potatoes could be stored.
Housing features/Delaware filled
homes with plan furniture.
Land/Delaware’s lower counties
population had grown to 35,000
by 1760.
Naturel Resources/ Delaware ate
Ham, Salted pork and
Slaughtered hogs.
