It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the charming
City of Naples. I am honored to be serving this amazing
city as the Mayor. Whether you are a first-time visitor
or a returning one, we are sure that our town will leave a
remarkable impression. That is, if it has not done so already.
While our city may feel small, the opportunities are endless.

When it comes to Art and Culture, our city has it all. While
there are many classes and workshops held by the Naples
Art Association, it does not stop there. You will find a variety
of fine art galleries as there are numerous hidden gems
throughout our city. I also strongly encourage you to plan a
visit to The Naples Players at Sugden Community Theatre or Gulfshore Playhouse to
see a performance or two, for they have enriched our community with culture.

As I am sure many of you are attracted by our year-round warm temperatures, white
sands, alluring beaches, and breathtaking sunsets, I encourage you to take a tour of our
beautiful neighborhoods on the Naples Princess, Dolphin, or Sweet Liberty or any of
our fishing charters at the Naples City Dock. And if you love the outdoors as much as I
do, do not forget to plan a trip to the Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens and the Naples
Botanical Garden.

From our family-owned small shops, cafes and restaurants to our high-end personable
jewelry stores, there is no limit to what you will discover in Naples. I am enthusiastic
about the year ahead, as we continue to keep the City of Naples the paradise that
everyone knows and loves.

Stay safe and be blessed.

All the best,

Mayor Heitmann

GOLISANO CHILDREN’S
MUSEUM OF NAPLES

It’s the spot for educational family fun in Southwest

Florida. The Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples

(C’mon) is a brain-building powerhouse fueled by

STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and

math) activities and experiences. C’mon is a Gold LEED

certified Museum with 38,000 sq. ft. of space both

inside and outside. Interactive exhibit galleries lead

children and their caregivers on a journey from the

trolley to the art studio; from the annual change of

seasons to a cafe experience focusing on cultural traditions and cuisine from around

the world; and from a working farm to a day at the beach. 2COLLIER MUSEUM
15080 Livingston Rd

Nestled on five acres of

native Florida landscaping,

the Collier Museum at

Government Center offers

exhibits and galleries that

capture the full panorama

of local history. Stalk

prehistoric mastodons with

Florida’s first big-game

hunters, or travel even further back in time, when colossal

sharks cruised the warm tropical seas that once covered Southwest

Florida. See ancient tools and ceremonial masks and dig up the facts

about the Calusa Indian civilization that flourished here. Trace America’s

little-known wars in South Florida, the heroic journey of the Seminole

people, and the origins behind traditional crafts like patchwork, once

laboriously stitched together on hand-cranked sewing machines.

3 BAKER MUSEUM 3331 Tamiami Trail East

The Baker Museum is one of the foremost fine art
museums in Southwest Florida. The museum hosts several
traveling exhibitions annually to complement installations of
works from its permanent collection. Comprising more than
4,000 objects, the museum’s broad holdings of 20th- and
21st-century art reflect the generosity and commitment
of area collectors. Of particular strength are The Baker
Museum’s collections of American and Mexican modern art
and significant gifts from the personal collection of Olga
Hirshhorn.

NAPLES BOTANICAL GARDEN

In 1994, a visionary group of local
plant enthusiasts gained nonprofit
status and launched the creation
of Naples Botanical Garden. Six
years later, the late Harvey Kapnick
Jr. donated $5 million to purchase
170 acres where the Garden sits
today. From the start, the Garden
distinguished itself from similar
institutions. The founders set aside
half the property for conservation,
research, and education on native
habitats. They designated the rest for
a subtropical paradise, showcasing
plants unique to its climate zone.
They assembled a team of renowned
landscape architects to capture the
spirit of Brazil, Southeast Asia, the
Caribbean, and our own Southwest
Florida. The Garden opened to the
public in 2009. The beautiful botanical

“We are thrilled to be resuming our live auction under
the tent with our generous friends and supporters from
across the country,” said Valerie Boyd, a Founding Trustee
for NCEF. “Together we will rise up on behalf of the most
vulnerable children in Collier County. We anticipate the best

NWWF has raised nearly $220 million for
its founding organization, NCEF, which has
awarded grants to more than 50 non-profit
organizations that have impacted the lives
of more than 275,000 children in Collier
County through traditional annual grants
and strategic initiatives.

Festival guests will once again join in
this charitable mission in 2022 as they bid
on incredible, one-of-a-kind experiences
during the famed live auction, part of a

SAVANNAH SIPPING SOCIETY

January 12 – February 6, 2022: Blackburn Hall
It’s never too late to make old new friends. In this delightful, laugh-a-

minute comedy, four unique Southern women, all needing to escape the

sameness of their day-to-day routines, are drawn together by fate—

enthusiasm for life they’ve lost through the years.

All is going well for Della, the legendary baker. But then, her late-best-

friend’s daughter comes home to ask her to make a cake for her upcoming

created by Bekah Brunstetter (This is Us), and challenges people of every

belief to engage in dialogue – even those who oppose you.

loved children’s books by P. L. Travers and the 1964 Disney film of the same

name. Julian Fellowes’ book blends the original stories with the acclaimed

film to create a new and iconic stage adventure. Even grown-ups can learn a

lesson or two from this magical yet practical nanny.

WHEN WE WERE YOUNG AND UNAFRAID

March 30 – April 24, 2022: Tobye Studio

This powerful play takes us inside the story of a quiet bed and breakfast

turned into a secret women’s shelter in the early 1970s, before Roe v.

Wade, before the Violence Against Women Act, and before women had

places to turn in times of distress. Smart and exciting, it will leave you on

the edge of your seat and with a renewed appreciation of a woman’s rights.
