It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the charming
City of Naples. I am honored to be serving this amazing
city as the Mayor. Whether you are a first-time visitor
or a returning one, we are sure that our town will leave a
remarkable impression. That is, if it has not done so already.
While our city may feel small, the opportunities are endless.
When it comes to Art and Culture, our city has it all. While
there are many classes and workshops held by the Naples
Art Association, it does not stop there. You will find a variety
of fine art galleries as there are numerous hidden gems
throughout our city. I also strongly encourage you to plan a
visit to The Naples Players at Sugden Community Theatre or Gulfshore Playhouse to
see a performance or two, for they have enriched our community with culture.
As I am sure many of you are attracted by our year-round warm temperatures, white
sands, alluring beaches, and breathtaking sunsets, I encourage you to take a tour of our
beautiful neighborhoods on the Naples Princess, Dolphin, or Sweet Liberty or any of
our fishing charters at the Naples City Dock. And if you love the outdoors as much as I
do, do not forget to plan a trip to the Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens and the Naples
Botanical Garden.
From our family-owned small shops, cafes and restaurants to our high-end personable
jewelry stores, there is no limit to what you will discover in Naples. I am enthusiastic
about the year ahead, as we continue to keep the City of Naples the paradise that
everyone knows and loves.
Stay safe and be blessed.
All the best,
Mayor Heitmann

GOLISANO CHILDREN’S
MUSEUM OF NAPLES
It’s the spot for educational family fun in Southwest
Florida. The Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples
(C’mon) is a brain-building powerhouse fueled by
STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and
math) activities and experiences. C’mon is a Gold LEED
certified Museum with 38,000 sq. ft. of space both
inside and outside. Interactive exhibit galleries lead
children and their caregivers on a journey from the
trolley to the art studio; from the annual change of
seasons to a cafe experience focusing on cultural traditions and cuisine from around
the world; and from a working farm to a day at the beach. 2COLLIER MUSEUM

native Florida landscaping,
the Collier Museum at

exhibits and galleries that

of local history. Stalk
prehistoric mastodons with
Florida’s first big-game
hunters, or travel even further back in time, when colossal
sharks cruised the warm tropical seas that once covered Southwest
Florida. See ancient tools and ceremonial masks and dig up the facts
about the Calusa Indian civilization that flourished here. Trace America’s
little-known wars in South Florida, the heroic journey of the Seminole
people, and the origins behind traditional crafts like patchwork, once
laboriously stitched together on hand-cranked sewing machines.

The Baker Museum is one of the foremost fine art
museums in Southwest Florida. The museum hosts several
traveling exhibitions annually to complement installations of
works from its permanent collection. Comprising more than
4,000 objects, the museum’s broad holdings of 20th- and
21st-century art reflect the generosity and commitment
of area collectors. Of particular strength are The Baker
Museum’s collections of American and Mexican modern art
and significant gifts from the personal collection of Olga

NAPLES BOTANICAL GARDEN
In 1994, a visionary group of local
plant enthusiasts gained nonprofit
status and launched the creation
of Naples Botanical Garden. Six
years later, the late Harvey Kapnick

170 acres where the Garden sits

distinguished itself from similar
institutions. The founders set aside
half the property for conservation,
research, and education on native
habitats. They designated the rest for
a subtropical paradise, showcasing
plants unique to its climate zone.
They assembled a team of renowned
landscape architects to capture the
spirit of Brazil, Southeast Asia, the
Caribbean, and our own Southwest
Florida. The Garden opened to the
public in 2009. The beautiful botanical
