Thai Cleft Link program is an intermediary in disseminating information of patients with cleft lip and cleft palate and craniofacial anomalies, including personal history, diagnosis of the patient's condition, and the patient's medical history to the system users including relevant multidisciplinary personnel, treatment coordinator staff, and researchers, etc. The program has been developed continuously and can be used through general web browsers to store data as a central database of patients with cleft lip and cleft palate. The highlight of the program is linking the work of network medical personnel teams under the network hospitals in the form of multidisciplinary integration by exchanging and sending treatment information through the program (the treatment personnel teams do not need to be in the same area) instead of patient travel which helps the patients to reduce travel expenses for treatment in various aspects. In addition, the program operation is also under the regulations of the Ministry of Public Health on the protection and management of the health of persons B.E. 2561 ASSIST.PROF.KRIT KHWANNGERN, M.D. WATCHARAPORN SITTHIKAMTIUB MEMBER : Thai Cleft Link 6 - TRL 9 [email protected] 0 5393 5177 https://scfc.cmu.ac.th/ 239 Huay Kaew Rd., Suthep, Mueang Chiang Mai, Chiang Mai, 50200, TH Princess Sirindhorn IT Foundation Craniofacial Center Chiang Mai University
Jaw surgery is a critical milestone in the treatment of craniofacial anomalies. The procedure requires high precision and skill to achieve the best result. A small number of experienced plastic surgeons had performed the operation. Unfortunately, patients may need to wait for this age-sensitive treatment which can affect the outcome result. To improve the situation, we developed the jaw surgery virtual reality (VR) simulation. This application utilizes VR devices and haptic gloves to realistically simulate the experience, environment, and tool of this procedure. The craniofacial patient’s skull and surgical tools are scanned and visualized. The VR headset maps the user's movement in the simulated operating room environment. And haptic controllers map the movement of the user’s hand and fingers when handling the virtual surgical instrument. This application is used to train new surgeons to perform jaw cutting and positional correction at Chiang Mai University. C: Checkup, the function allows users to screen their heart with three simple steps: Place the stethoscope in the correct position, wait for 10 seconds while the app records and analyzes the heart sounds, and view the results. Before starting the screening, users must read and understand where to place the stethoscope for optimal results. The A: Awareness, the function creates awareness by displaying recent results, allowing users to visualize heart degeneration and track weekly results such as average BPM and average heart sound similarities. It also has a knowledge function where the user can read and understand heart disease to create awareness but to not be alarmed. Lastly, R: Refer, the function includes a family notification feature that alerts a caretaker if the user is at high risk, as well as a nearby hospital function and a Heart Medical Report feature to help with the doctor’s diagnosis.
Suandok Sound Therapy (SST) app is an innovative application for emotional therapy and healing through the usage of various and comprehensive components and forms of sound and music, including binaural beats, isochronic tones, superimposed binaural beats, natural sounds, noises, ASMR and voices. The superimposed binaural beat is a new sound frequency unprecedentedly invented by Assoc. Prof. Jakkrit Klaphajone, M.D., via a different synthesis mechanism. Instead of constant carrier sound frequencies, which are used by the conventional binaural beat synthesis, the fluctuating carrier sound frequencies are used and vary over time but the resultant beats still remain constant between each ear. A preliminary research study revealed that this new mechanism is more effective in reducing anxiety than the conventional binaural beats. SST application can be easily customized for each user and is specifically designed to help individuals with stress, anxiety, depression, concentration problems, confusion, drowsiness, or insomnia. SST app can also complement mental and physical activities, such as meditation and exercises. Theory, hypothesis and concepts of therapeutic sounds. Normally, human brainwaves are in different patterns which be recognized by their amplitudes and frequencies. Brainwaves can then be categorized based on their level of activity or frequency into 4 levels which are beta wave, alpha wave, theta wave, and delta wave. These brainwaves are detectable on specific parts of the scalp, corresponding to the parts of the brain just below. The brain has many specialized regions which correspond to different processes, thoughts, and sensations. Particular brainwaves often reflect distinct regions and networks in the brain communicating with each other. Research has revealed that alpha wave has something to do with pain perception as people with chronic pain seems to have reduced alpha wave proportion. Alpha brainwave entrainment has been confirmed by previous studies for pain modulation in patients undergoing gastrointestinal endoscopy. Brainwave entrainment refers to a process of the brain to naturally synchronize its brainwave frequencies with the rhythm of periodic external stimuli, most commonly auditory, visual, or tactile. Commonly used auditory stimuli include isochronic tones, monaural beats and binaural beats or a combination of sounds and lights (audiovisual stimulation). Binaural beats are mostly applied and generated with the different frequencies of carrier sounds between 2 ears. Parts of the sounds are also believed to be travelled via bone conduction. The interference of bilateral sounds is then perceived or possibly neurally propagates with resultant beats from the brainstem up to higher brain regions causing frequency following response leading to certain activity changes. 12 ASSOC. The Platform of Assisting an Early Detection for Alzheimer's Disease via Eyes by AI The brain is an organ that humans should regularly examine to prevent or minimize the chances of having cognitive decline (WHO, 2022). However, currently, there are over 55 million people worldwide with cognitive impairment and every 3 seconds there is an increase of one patient, which is continuously rising with the growing of elderly population. Nevertheless, screening or follow-up methods are currently limited to traveling to a hospital to perform a paper-based cognitive assessment (MoCA – Montreal Cognitive Assessment) with limited number of specialized physicians. Moreover, the early stages of cognitive decline don’t have clear indications leading to patients often realizing they have Alzheimer’s disease at a late stage when self-help is no longer possible, resulting in both physical and mental disability, causing depression to not just the patients but their loved ones as well, which is unavoidable. The development team has created an innovative platform called “PoDE” (Platform for Assisting the Early Detection of Alzheimer’s Disease With Eyes by AI), Which enables early detection of Alzheimer’s disease by tracking eye movements using Artificial Intelligence. This platform is designed to help doctors screen, assess, and monitor the development of Dementia resulting in a faster diagnosis and treatment for patients. PoDE is able to effectively assess symptoms at each stage of the disease. PoDE is comprised of three main systems: (a) A personal information processing system (b) A visual brain function test system that includes five different tests which are Fixation, Prosaccade, Antisaccade, Smooth Pursuit, and VPC Task which will help determine the likelihood of developing Alzheimer’s using an AI that analyzes eye movements and position. (c) A reporting system that provides information about the likelihood of developing Alzheimer’s disease to users, relatives, and hospitals through medical reports by indicating the percentage of likeliness. Users can access PoDE through a website and complete the test in just three simple steps. Calibrate Test and Result, by clicking and looking at the assessment. Then the AI will send the results to relatives. Finally, it’ll create a document to help hospitals and expert physicians to optimize and adjust treatment appropriately on the data security system. This helps the elderly know their chances of having Alzheimer's Disease quickly and reduces the chance of disability or being bedridden. 14 We’ve tested our platform with expert physicians from Chiang Mai university faculty of Medicine and testers from evaluations with the Center for Development of Social Welfare for the Elderly in Thammapakorn Village, Chiang Mai province, by conducting tests with a total of 39 elderly participants individuals. It was found that 95.03% of the elderly who were screened for Alzheimer's disease using "PoDE" were able to screen themselves accurately, and 87.17% wanted "PoDE" to be used conveniently, effectively, and quickly in their daily lives. In terms of expert physicians, 5 of them wanted "PoDE" to be part of the hospital's Alzheimer's disease screening system. We hope our innovation will help billions of people around the world. Trust us and let’s look into the future together with PoDE. LENNY THOMAS TANYADA THONGBAI TIN POTIKANOND MEMBER :

Coronavirus and TB are two examples of the airborne infections that AD-1 are intended to eradicate. The device was first created to reduce the danger of respiratory infectious disease for ambulance users and healthcare professionals. The newest AD-1 is designed for home use. Oxygen atoms (O•), superoxide anions (O2-), and hydroxyl free radicals (OH•) are released during the advance oxidation process combined with the photocatalytic process from UV-C and the ozonation process in AD-1. These free radicals can pass through pass through the cell membrane of bacteria and fungus and harm their organelles. Cell growth can be stopped by the free-radical chain reaction. Testing the efficacy of AD-1 disinfection in 50m2 closed room revealed the reduction of fungal and bacterial growth. The AD-1 can be a suitable option for air purifying and helps to reduce maintenance costs because of its long lifespan, lack of residue, lack of need for filter changes and can access all of the room’s blind spots.
