MEMBERS PLAYING IN COMPETITIONS ARE REMINDED THAT FAILURE TO ATTEND AT THE “BOOKED” START TIME, WITHOUT REASONABLE EXCUSE, MAY RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION AND SUSPENSION FROM COMPETITIONS. Handicap certificates are available online via the ClubV1 Member’s app or HowDidIDo app. Start times for general play and competitions must be booked online prior to play. If entering a competition, members must sign-in in the ProShop and pay the competition fee prior to play. Members should use the ClubV1 Members App to book a tee time. Competition(s) of the day will be clearly marked on the tee sheet and tee slots reserved for concentrated competition play. Members can decide if they wish to play in the competition or not but MUST play in the format of the competition if playing in the concentrated tee slots ie. 3-ball, stroke play or stableford. Members can play in a competition at any other time during the day. Competition Entry Fees 2025 Mens, Mixed & Club Competitions Major Competitions £2 Entry, optional £3 Sweep, optional £2 Twos Fun Competitions £1 Entry & £3 Sweep, optional £2 Twos Knockout Competitions £3 Entry & £3 Prize The Entry fee is retained to cover Comps costs, the Sweep and Twos is run by the Professional and distributed by the ProShop. The Sweep is divided equally between divisions and proportioned half, third and sixth. Pairs and Team events have 1 division. Major competitions have 3 divisions split using Playing Handicap: 10 and below, 11 to 18, 19 and above. Knock out comps cost £6 per person taken off the members bar card. Half goes to the Comps costs and half is awarded with the trophy to the eventual winners. Club Night costs £4 taken off the members bar card (includes £1 for twos distributed by the ProShop). The remaining £3 is split for weekly prizes to members bar card and to pay for the end of season meal and prizes. The Fur & Feather and Bottle shotguns cost £10 per person (includes £2 for twos distributed by the ProShop), remaining £8 goes towards turkey/bottle prizes. Members Apps You can make tee reservations and book competitions on a smart phone using the Club V1 Members App and linked HowDidIDo App and analyse your handicap with the myEG App. Download Club V1 Members App from the Apple or Google store. You will need to Register and activate your account. Use the email address you have provided as your login. Make sure you can receive an email to activate your account. Once activated, you will be able to login. Within the App you can make tee reservations, book competitions, see results, read news, view bar balance, access to the members list, and the ability to edit your own privacy settings. For competitions use the linked HowDidIDo App. Download the app from the Apple or Google store. Again, you will need to register and activate an account. Use the same email address we have on record for your login. You can book competitions in the same way, analyse results and see statistics on your play. The HowDidIDo App contains advertising and is more of a general tool for managing you game of golf and booking competitions. The Club V1 Members App is specific to Bridgnorth Golf Club. When you have a handicap and CDH number you will also be able to analysis your handicap and play using the myEG App. Download the app from the Apple or Google store. You will need to register and activate an account using your CDH number. If you don’t have a smart phone or prefer to use a web browser navigate to bridgnorth.hub.clubv1.com. This is identical to the Club V1 Members App. Register as above. Computers are also available in the Lounge and Pro Shop for competition booking. Use the PSI Booking Web Page and follow the on-screen instructions.
Checklist Before Playing **Only required if you are playing in a Competition or wish to submit a General Play Score** BEFORE PLAY • Register your intention to submit a score in the Pro-Shop BEFORE play. Or register your intention via the clubV1 members app or EG App. All registered scores MUST be returned or the player will receive a penalty score. • Enter the Date and Competition or “General Play”, “For Handicap” on your scorecard. • Enter your Handicap Index on your scorecard – no longer compulsory • Check course handicap tables for the course you are playing - tables available in the Pro-Shop, Starter’s Hut and in fixture book. • Enter the course handicap on your card – no longer compulsory • For singles competitions you must play off your course handicap. Mandatory playing handicap allowances will be for competition results only. DURING PLAY • Enter your gross score for each hole. • No returns are NO LONGER allowed or a penalty score may be applied without a valid reason • If you pick up at any hole enter a zero in the score column. If you 'DID NOT PLAY' any holes leave the score blank. DO NOT write NR across your card as all scores now count for handicap. • You may use the HDID App to enter your scores during the round or just after you have finished. • For 9-Hole competitions you need to have completed ALL 9 holes. • For 18-hole competitions you need to have played ALL holes unless you have a valid reason for not completing a hole or holes. A minimum of 10 holes is required AFTER PLAY • Sign your card and ensure your marker signs • If using the HDID app you MUST state your marker before entering scores (it is the person checking your scores and not yourself). Once all scores entered you MUST sign in the space provided in your app. • All scores must be submitted ASAP after play and before midnight on the day of play. • Hand in your scorecard to the Pro-Shop or leave in post box. If closed you must enter your score via the HDID app. Failure to submit your scorecard without a valid reason may lead to a penalty score under rules of handicapping 7.1b Jan 2025

Competitions Competitions marked with (M) indicate Major competitions. Silverware for these is awarded at the annual presentation function held at the conclusion to the playing season in November and winners’ names displayed on the honour boards in the Club House. Men’s & Club Comps A player must have returned a minimum of 4 acceptable scores (Competition and/or General Play scores) within the previous 12 months from date of competition to be eligible to win the trophies listed in the fixtures book. You can find your score record on the ClubV1 App under Handicap. Ladies Comps A player must have returned a minimum of 4 acceptable scores of which 4 must be Competition scores to win a Major Trophy. For other competitions listed in the fixture book then the 4 acceptable scores can be Competition and/or General Play scores. All Major & non Major scores must have been submitted within the previous 12 months of the date of competition. FULL members (80+, Adult, U32, U31, U30, U25 & Student) are entitled to enter all competitions and win the Silverware. Male Lifestyle, Distance, 2 nd Club (Affiliated) and Trial members may enter men’s Major competitions, but not win the silverware, they can win sweep and twos. Lady Lifestyle, Distance, 2 nd Club (Affiliated) & Trial members cannot enter lady’s Major competitions. Juniors are entitled to enter certain competitions and win the Silverware. It is the member’s responsibility to check their eligibility prior to entering competitions. All players need to refer to the Course Handicap tables (W, Y, R, G) to calculate Course Handicap in relation to their Handicap Index. Players must always play off Course Handicap when playing in competitions.
