I hope you had some relaxing time with family, friends and loved ones during the year end break. In my home country, Scotland, we often use this time to reflect on the year just passed and look forward to a bright New Year with enthusiasm. I find myself also now reflecting on 2023 with a feeling of relief that its behind us, but also a sense of pride that we have entered 2024 a stronger team with a lot to look forward to. 2023 saw the official end of Covid as a pandemic and life returned to normal. We still deal with post Covid topics today, but thankfully we deal with any issues in a pragmatic way realizing that life goes on. 2023 also saw the continuing war in Ukraine and the beginning of a new war in Gaza, plus an ongoing escalation of the effects of Global warming on the planet. There have been so many major issues going on around the world, that ultimately affect our day to day business through Supply Chain disruption. We have dealt with these challenges head on, and we have made some significant progress during 2023. A huge thank you to everyone for your determination and resilience during 2023, which has helped us maximise performance and set SVI up for success in 2024. In 2024 SVI will get back to growth, with revenue showing a 20% increase versus 2023. The first half of 2024 with be similar to Q4 2023, however the second half of the year will see strong demand from existing customers following inventory reductions in their Hubs. We will also see increasing demand from the new customers won in 2023 during the second half of 2024, which will turbo charge our revenue. The uncertainty in the world is providing opportunities in our market for strong companies to grow, and we have certainly taken advantage of this by winning 18 new customers in 2023, which will see production revenue in 2024. CPR training facilitated for the employees to train them on the emergency process performed on cardiac arrest victims to preserve brain function until any emergency medical services team arrived. CPR-trained employees will be able to react and perform CPR immediately, increasing their chance of survival. CPR & First Aid A fire drill is an evacuation simulation that helped prepare participants for a real fire emergency response. Running drills let people know what to expect and how to respond safely. Fire drill and Evacuation Fires in our facilities sometimes arose due to our initial inability to control them, leading to severe damage. Thai safety legislation emphasized employee knowledge in controlling and initiating firefighting. Proper use of basic fire equipment was crucial for a safe response. Basic fire fighting For the participants, both the theory of "First Aid Extinguishing" as well as the practical extinguishing exercises with various fire extinguisher models and fire blankets were an extremely important exercise and a valuable experience, many thanks to our fire safety officer, Ewald. P . 19 APPRECIATION CULTURE APPRECIATION CULTURE SVI AUSTRIA’S APPRENTICE PROJECT 2023 This year, a motivated team of apprentices took up the challenge again and participated in a regional apprentice competition as part of a recruiting fair. All of our apprentices were actively involved and were assigned tasks for the realization of this year's project—to plan and build an 'AIR HOCKEY TABLE.' This self-developed project required intensive cooperation among all apprentices in different apprenticeships and years, who took on responsibilities, gained experience, and demonstrated their talents from the start. We would like to congratulate our young team of apprentices for their excellent performance and team spirit. Students from the Higher Technical Education College, specializing in automation, computer science, mechatronics, and robotics, showed great interest in the face-to-face event. Marlene and Sarah were on-site to present the company, educational training, and our apprenticeships.
