INTRODUCTION TO ONLINE FINDING AID (OFA) | 1 The Panducari Online Project Proposal Paper prepared by the Guidance Section on 14 January 2005 was the first step in the development of online finding aids (OFA) applications. The Panducari Online Committee, led by Dr. Hjh Samsiah Muhammad, followed in 2008, and the project is now being discovered through one of the focuses of the MyCreative Content Project (MyCC). Researchers have the option to make reservations up to three days in advance of their visit. This may shorten the time spent waiting for the material while also advancing the research process. Future OFA usage will also make it simple to conduct a comprehensive search for all varieties of archival material. This is made possible by OFA's capacity to conduct centralised searches throughout the COMPASS, AMS, and MAMS systems, which are utilised archival material in accordance with various types and formats. National Archives of Malaysia (NAM) was able to construct and build an advanced online search initiative using OFA that attracted both researchers and the general public.
It was established on January 31st, 1879, and has a 1:2 ratio. The three branches of the Perak royal family are represented by the flag' sstripes, which are white forthe current Sultan of Perak, yellow forthe crown prince Raja Muda, and black forthe Raja Di Hilir(the next in succession, afterthe crown prince). Among the Malay states, the Sultan of Perak has one of the oldest hereditary positions. When the Sultanate of Malacca empire fell to Portugal in 1511, Sultan Mahmud Syah I moved to Kampar, Sumatra and he died in 1528. He left two princess behind, named Sultan Alauddin Riayat Shah II and Sultan Muzaffar Syah. The former went on to establish the Sultanate of Johor. Muzaffar Syah wasinvited to rule Perak, he became the firstsultan of Perak. | 2

He is from Sarawak and served as National Assembly Speaker in 1988. He was also formerly the Assistant Minister of Sarawak from 1977 to 1982. Hence, Tan Sri Datuk Abang Haji Ahmad Urai worked for Sarawak' s government for 18 years before passing away on June 12th, 2022. Image/Accession No. :2001/0022132W Description: Sultan Idris Murshidul Azzam Shah Ibni Almarhum Raja Bendahara Alang Iskandar Marhum was born in the Kampar village of Kampung Kuala Keboi. He was the son of Alang Iskandar. Raja Idris had demonstrated an early interest in study, particularly Islamic education, which he maintained throughout his life. Sheikh Mohd Tahir Jalaluddin[1] and Syed Abdullah bin Abu Bakar Al-Attas were two of his religious tutors (kadhi of Perak). Raja Idris eventually learned English from a few British administrative personnel, including District Magistrate and Collector of Land Revenue M.E. Holmes. CONCLUSION In accomplishing this assignment, we are well-aware about the importance of collecting and finding information via online platform. We got to explore more the essential resources in finding aids of the National Archives of Malaysia, which called Online Finding Aids (OFA). By delve into OFA, we gained lot of information about the Sultanate of Perak. Thus, by doing this assignment, we get to know about the historical events, stories from previous to the current sultanate. All the valuable moments of the Sultanate Perak throughout their life are contained precisely in the OFA. In a word, The Sultanate of Perak are fully contributed on the development of the state, various efforts have been carried out by the sultanate to maintain prosperity and improvement in this state. Last but not least, in using the OFA platform, we are compressed with bulk of information about the Sultanate of Perak. Interestingly, the Sultanate of Perak is renowned for having the deepest roots and the most number of Sultans in the Malaysian Sultanate heritage (35). Remarkably, 27 of them chose to use newly constructed palaces rather than the ones they had inherited. | 25
