INTRODUCTION

In the uncertainty of the current
economic situation, it is not only
the workers who need to control
their finances, the students are no
exception. The extravagant and
spending habits that are often
practiced must be discarded. As
students, even if we do not have a
source of income, we need to plan
wisely so that life is more secure.
This is when the practice of saving
and frugality is important in our
daily management as students.

CONTENTS

Firstly is saving. Important savings
for a guaranteed future. Have a safe
in your room and save the extra
money for your daily expenses.
Once full, ask parents to keep it in
the bank. You will see the return of
the savings. Your financial amount
will increase because the bank will
give interest from the savings.
Another idea you maybe didn’t think
about much, your student ID can be
so much more than just a card with
a less than flattering picture of
ourselves.

As recommends, we as teenager
can get you up to 10% off at Seoul
Garden, Bowling Art, Petroscience
and some of your other favorite
retailers. Getting all the discounts
you can make saving a whole lot
easier, and ensures you can put
more of what you make in a safe
place until you need it. It would
also be a good idea to ask about
student discounts and deals
everywhere you go. Some
businesses may not openly
advertise their student discounts
but would be more than happy to
provide them if you ask.

If you’re old enough, getting a part
time job will help you save some
extra cash when necessary. If you
don’t have any significant plans
during your vacation, why not
make money? It keeps you from
making regrettable decisions with
whatever allowance or little
money you may have. Plus, it
allows you to keep replenishing
your accounts until it’s time to
focus on our studies again. Part
time jobs are also an excellent
opportunity to gain experience.
They can help you get better jobs
in the future that offer higher pay.

Then, when you spend or go on
vacation , it doesn’t mean you
have to spend alone. Think about
sharing costs with your friends or
siblings where you can, whether
on petrol oil, trips, books and so
on. Capitalize on any interests you
share with people by splitting the
things you each want. Also, try and
collect as many coupons and gift
cards as you can. If the gifts cards
you get are for things you’re not
interested in buying, feel free to
re-sell them.
You can save money easier if you
keep a book of your purchases.

. That way you have a record of
your spending so you know
whether you’ve been spending
more than you should be. Keep all
your receipts and write down your
spending totals.Always date your
entries and divide your money
into categories, your income and
expenses. If there’s cash that you
can’t track for one reason or
another, make a note of it and
even write small reviews of the
things you bought. Once you see
some of the figures besides items
you purchased, you might realize
just how silly it was. Whether it’s a
bad movie you watched or a party
that bored you to death,

you’re more likely to be watchful
and selective in your spending. For
example, every time you earn
money, plan your daily expenses
wisely. For example, if your
parents give you RM50 a week,
record it in your booklet. Then list
the total meal expenses as well as
the necessities that need to be
purchased during the week. This
way, we can see an estimate of the
savings that can be made during
the week. To be safe, ask for a
parents opinion before you buy
the desired item.

Next, do not practice the attitude
of borrowing, the attitude of fond
of borrowing is actually not a good
practice. Therefore, do not borrow
money from anyone simply
because you have failed to control
your finances. Worried you won't
be able to pay it back. The same
goes for those of us who have a
financial surplus. On the other
hand, avoid lending money to
friends. We are still students, it is
impossible to have a source of
income to pay off debts.
After that, for teenagers living in
hostels, of course parents give you
a lot of pocket money for you to
spend.

So make sure you keep it in a safe
place and not known to others or
ask your parents to put money
into your account. Remove only
when you really need it. this is to
prevent money from being stolen
or lost. If we have tried to make
money, and in the end it has not
paid off, then we tell our parents
that we have no money. but don't
lie to your parents just to get
money. Practice an outspoken
attitude in case you run out of
money. Explain to the parents
where the money will be spent.
However, do not ask beyond your
parents ability.

Next, a wise step in managing
finances for teenagers is to
compare the price of an item
before making a purchase. As we
all know, today's consumers are
very lucky because in various
places have been set up shopping
malls such as Tesco Supermarket,
Giant Hypermarket, Mydin
Supermarket, Cereefour, The Mall,
Jusco Supermarket, and Econ save.
The existence of various
supermarkets allows consumers
such as teenagers to make a wise
choice of goods by comparing the
prices of goods offered in each
supermarket.
