MEMORIALS
IN
ST.
MARTIN’S
CHURCH,
KILLARA
St.
Martin’s
Killara
is
an
Anglican
Church
in
the
Sydney
Diocese
of
the
Anglican
Church
of
Australia.
Killara
is
on
Sydney’s
North
Shore,
16
kms
from
the
Sydney
CBD,
and
the
church
was
established
in
1911.
This
list
documents
inscriptions
on
windows,
furniture
and
some
liturgical
items
in
St.
Martin’s.
Some
inscriptions
are
memorials
to
persons
associated
with
St.
Martin’s;
others
record
the
names
of
benefactors
who
donated
items.
For
ease
of
editing
and
updating
the
list
is
sorted
by
the
names
of
memorialised
persons
and
benefactors.
In
some
cases
there
is
more
than
one
entry
–
one
for
a
memorialised
person
and
others
for
benefactors/relatives
with
a
different
name.
The
list
does
not
include
the
names
of
persons
whose
ashes
are
immured
in
the
church’s
Columbarium.
Most
of
the
persons
listed
lived
in
Killara,
but
it
is
important
to
note
that
in
some
cases
the
memorialised
person
or
donor(s)
lived
elsewhere,
particularly
the
adjacent
districts
of
Lindfield
and
Gordon.
In
its
early
days
many
of
the
people
who
worshipped
at
St.
Martin’s
had
previously
been
associated
with
the
Church
of
St.
John
the
Evangelist,
Gordon,
the
mother
church
of
St.
Martin’s
Killara.
