Message from the
Manager’s Desk
Greetings to all!
School is the abode of learning.
It influences the all-round development of the pupils.
Educators explore the possibilities in every individual
child and make them capable enough to follow their
pursuits. We aim to empower our students in such a
manner that they act as representatives of a meaningful
and value-based society.
Margaret Mead said, ‟Children must be taught how to
think not what to think.‟ Even as we impart education to
the students to match the advancement in technology
and globalization, we march our children ahead enabling
them to think critically along with imbibing in them the
Ignatian principles and ethos to meet the needs of the
21st century.
The e-mag, „Ignited Minds Xpress‟ has certainly given
wings to our students to explore their talents in various
forms of art. I congratulate the editorial team for their
hard work and dedication that has resulted in the
publication of this issue of the school magazine.
Let us together groom the young minds of our students
to enable them to walk the path of life successfully.
With warm wishes and God‟s blessings !
Rev. Fr Dionysius Lobo S.J

Message from
The Headmistress’ Desk
“Education is not just about going to
school and getting a degree. It‟s about
widening your knowledge and absorbing
the truth about life.”
The effort of every educator should be to unlock the
treasure of knowledge and fill the students with curiosity and
love for it. It gives me immense pleasure and delight to present
before you the first issue of Vol 2 of our e-mag „Ignited Minds
Xpress‟. The objective of introducing an e-mag to our students
is to help them hone their talents and showcase their creativity
in not only academics and sports but also in the field of Arts,
Performing arts, Creative writing and Critical thinking.
Children are like wet clay, you can mold them in any shape.
They are quick learners and absorb everything around them
with their audio-visual senses. It is our responsibility as
potters to imbibe certain moral values in young children. Our
mission is to provide enriching opportunities everyday so that
students reach their full potential socially, emotionally,
physically, and cognitively within the learning environment.
This e-mag is just an effort in the said direction.
So, sit back and enjoy the creative inputs of our students and
staff this year !
Happy Reading !

Hello, my name is Sanvi Kiran Jadhav. I study
in Grade 6th.From a very young age I was
fond of dancing. When my parents saw that I
had an interest in dance. They decided to
train me professionally so I began learning
Kathak at the age of seven.
Kathak is one of the 8 classical dance forms of
our country ,which involves story telling
through dance.
Kathak is famous in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar,
Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, etc.
Instruments such as Pakhwat, Sarangi and
Flute are accompanied. Pandit Birju Maharaj
is known as the Guru of Kathak. I am always
excited to learn something new when I go for
my Kathak classes. Kathak has increased my
confidence. It emphasises on posses,
expressions, eye and body movement,
footwork etc. Kathak makes us active and
I suggest everyone should learn it.

When Teacher announced our school trip to Traffic Park, I was
excited.
I prepared a small bag with some snacks, juice and water.
We all gathered in the class room and Teacher announced that
we all would leave at 9:00 a.m. and return at 11:00 a.m.
We boarded the bus from the school and reached at Traffic
Park. We all got down from the bus one by one and started to
walk. We all made line and stood in a queue. There were many
things to do here.
The Traffic Uncle told us everything about the Traffic Signals,
zebra crossing and many other traffic rules.
The Traffic Park is equipped with traffic signals, road signs
and road crossings and thus we all students enjoyed learning
about the various road safety rules.
We got detailed knowledge about the traffic rules, the traffic
signals and the zebra crossing, we were moved to a small room
with a projector, here we saw short videos on safety
measures, road signs and rules here we came to know why we
have to wait at the signal and follow all the rules.
After the enlightening session we all were served with Frooty
and Biscuits.
Overall, it was an amazing learning experience. We all enjoyed
this trip and were back in school in time. Alisha Idrisi

OUR AMAZING SOLAR SYSTEM
Once there was a big gas ball made of a hydrogen and
helium. Then one day the ball exploded and a giant gas ball
was formed and it wasn‟t an ordinary ball, it was a star and
now people call it the SUN. There were millions of comets
and asteroids and they were crashing into each other and
this is how planets were formed. They were Mercury, Venus,
Earth, Mars, Jupiter , Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto.
But now Pluto is not a planet, a planet needs three things to
be a proper planet.
1. It needs to be a round
2. It should move in an orbit
3. Finally it needs to clear everything in its path.
Now Pluto is round, has an orbit but Pluto doesn‟t clear
everything in its path. That's why Pluto is not a Planet. Now
Mercury is the smallest planet. Venus is the hottest planet
with a temperature of 369+ degrees Celsius. Earth is the
only planet which supports life. Mars is also called the Red
planet. Now comes the asteroid belt which has many
comets. Then comes Jupiter the largest and also called the
king of all planets, its mass is more than the double of all
planets combined. Saturn is the most beautiful. Uranus
spins on it‟s sides. Neptune is the coldest. Now and finally is
the cyber belt, it contains of comets and the dwarf planets.
Example Pluto and Aires.
