Read the story below. Answer the questions that follow.

Long ago, there were two friends who were farmers. Their names were Ujang
and Ramli. They were best of friends and neighbours too.

One day, when Ujang was digging a well, he found a wooden box buried deep
in the ground. He opened and found gold coins in it. Ujang told Ramli what he had
found. He said, “You are my best friend. I plan to share half the gold with you.” Ramli
replied, “I’ll take the box home and take out my share. Then you can have the rest.”

Back home, when Ramli and his wife saw the gold coins, they became greedy.
They wanted all the gold for themselves. Ramli and his wife imagined what they could
do with the gold. After dinner, they opened the box once more to see the gold coins. To
their surprise, the gold coins suddenly changed into worms. Ramli thought Ujang played
a trick on him.

Feeling angry and disappointed, Ramli and his wife took the box to Ujang’s
house. As they came nearer, they could hear Ujang and his wife talking about their good
fortune. Ramli and his wife became angrier. They wanted to teach Ujang and his wife a
lesson. They decided to climb up the roof. Through a hole on the roof, they emptied the
box of worms onto the couple’s heads. As the worms came down, they changed into
gold coins.

One day, donkey fell into the farmer’s well. The farmer heard the donkey braying
when it fell. After thinking for a while, the farmer felt sorry with the donkey. He

The old donkey was not happy. It was angry. But as the farmer and his neighbours

There was once an old man. He was very, very old. Some people

“O wise father,” said the young man, “I want to be useful to people.

nine years old daughter sustained minor injuries when their car collided with a bus at the 24
km Tongkang Pecah – Segamat road last night. The deceased were identified as Majid bin

Ingredient
3 eggs
2 egg yolks
150g sugar
250ml thick coconut milk
3-4 screwpine leaves (pandan leaves)

Steps
 Break the eggs into a mixing bowl.
 Add in egg yolks. Beat it until the yolks and whites are blended.
 Add sugar and keep on stirring until it dissolved.
 Slowly add thick coconut milk and continue beating. Sugar must be dissolved and coconut
milk must blended.
 Place a pot of water over the stove and boil it.
 Put container with this prepared ingredient in the centre of the pot.
 Use a wooden spoon to stir it for about 40-50 minutes.

 When the mixture turns thick golden brown, it is ready.

Once, a couple had a lucky ring. Whoever owned it would always have enough money to
live on. However, they did not know about this and sold it for a small amount of money. As
the ring was no longer with them, they became poor.

The couple had a dog and a cat. “We must get the ring back,” suggested the dog. “The ring
is kept in a locked chest, so you must get a mouse to make a hole in the chest with its sharp
teeth. If it refuses, say that you will eat it.”

The cat caught a mouse. Then both the cat and the dog had to cross a river to get to the
house where the chest was kept. As the cat could not swim, the dog told her to sit on his back,
and they swam across. Once they found the chest, the mouse made a hole in it and took out
the ring. The cat put it in her mouth. The cat and dog headed home. However, the dog took a
longer time than the cat to reach home because he was tired from swimming.

When the dog arrived, the couple scolded him for not helping the cat to bring the ring
