หนังสืออิเล็กทรอนิกส์เล่มนี้จัดทำขึ้นเพื่อเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของ
รายวิชานวัตกรรมและเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ เพื่อการสื่อสารการ
ศึกษาและการเรียนรู้ ED13201 ชั้นปีที่2 เพื่อให้ได้ศึกษาหาความรู้
ในเรื่อง หลักการใช้ If clause ฉบับเข้าใจง่าย และได้ศึกษาอย่าง
เข้าใจเพื่อเป็นประโยชน์กับการเรียน

If clause คืออะไร?

If clause หรือ Conditional

sentence (ประโยคเงื่อนไข)

คือ ประโยคที่ผู้พูดสมมติว่าถ้า

มีเหตุการณ์หนึ่งเกิดขึ้น จะมี

ผลหรือเหตุการณ์อื่นๆ เกิดขึ้น

ตามมา




Conditional sentence ประกอบด้วย 2 ส่วน คือ


2) Main clause ส่วน
1) If clause ส่วนที่เป็นเงื่อนไข ประโยคหลักที่เป็นผลมาจาก
ขึ้นต้นด้วย If เงื่อนไข If clause





ประโยค If clause สามารถแบ่งได้ 2 แบบเช่นกัน
1) ถ้าหากส่วนที่เป็น If clause ขึ้นก่อน เมื่อจบ
ประโยคจะต้องคั่นด้วย , (comma) เสมอ แล้วค่อย
ตามด้วย Main clause
เช่น If I were you, I wouldn’t love him.
2) ถ้าหากส่วนของ Main clause ขึ้นก่อน จะต่อ
ด้วย If clause เลยโดยไม่มี , (comma) คั่น
เช่น I wouldn't love him if I were you.

1) ZERO

1.1) If Present Simple, Present Simple



วิธีใช้: ใช้กับเงื่อนไขที่เป็นจริงเสมอ ใช้พูดถึงความ
จริงตามธรรมชาติ หรือข้อเท็จจริงทั่วไป

ตัวอย่าง
If you stand in the rain, you get wet.
ถ้าคุณตากฝน คุณจะเปียก

If you are under 18, drinking alcohol is illegal.
ถ้าคุณอายุต่ำกว่า 18 ปี การดื่มเครื่องดืมแอลกอฮอล์จะผิดกฎหมาย

2) FIRST

2.1) If Present Simple, Future Simple

วิธีใช้: ใช้อธิบายว่า ถ้าหากเหตุการณ์หนึ่งเกิดขึ้น

อีกเหตุการณ์หนึ่งก็มีแนวโน้มว่าจะเกิดขึ้น
ตัวอย่าง
We will stay at home if it rains.


เราจะอยู่บ้านถ้าฝนตก


2.2) If Present Simple, Imperative Form

วิธีใช้: ใช้อธิบายว่า ถ้าหากเหตุการณ์หนึ่งเกิดขึ้น อีกเหตุการณ์

หนึ่งก็อาจจะเกิดขึ้นโดยใช้ Modal Verb แทน Future will, would = จะ
shall, should = จะ, น่าจะ
ตัวอย่าง Simple Tense ซึ่ง Modal Verb ได้แก่
can, could = สามารถ
If you are free, w
e can go for a walk. may, might = อาจจะ

ถ้าคุณว่าง เราไปเดินเล่นกันได้นะ must = ควรจะ

3) SECOND
Conditional

3.1) If Past Simple, Subject + would + Verb
infinitive



วิธีใช้: ใช้กับเหตุการณ์ที่ตรงข้ามกับความจริงใน
ปัจจุบันและอนาคต หรือใช้สมมติสิ่งที่เป็นไปไม่ได้
ในปัจจุบัน

ตัวอย่าง

If I knew the answer, I would tell you.
ถ้าฉันรู้คำตอบ ฉันจะบอกเธอนะ (แต่ตอนนี้ไม่รู้)



If I were you, I would forget about him.
ถ้าฉันเป็นเธอนะ ฉันจะลืมเรื่องของเราให้หมดเลย

(แต่ฉันเป็นเธอไม่ได้ และเธอก็ยังไม่ลืมเขา)

4) THIRD

4.1) If Past Perfect, Subject + would

+ have + V.3



วิธีใช้: ใช้กับเห
ตุการณ์ที่ตรงข้ามกับความจริงในอดีต
ซึ่งไม่เป็นไปตามผู้พูดคาด และรู้สึกเสียดายหรือ
เสียใจกับสิ่งที่ได้ทำลงไป หรือไม่ได้ทำในอดีต
ตัวอย่าง If you had told me you were coming,
I would have bought more food.
ถ้าคุณบอกผมล่วงหน้าว่าคุณจะมา ผมก็จะได้
ซื้ออาหารมามากกว่านี้แล้ว(แต่เธอไม่ได้บอก
ล่วงหน้า เลยซื้ออาหารมาไม่พอ)

การใช้ If clause Unless + Affirmative Verb (กริยาในรูปบอกเล่า)
ในรูปแบบอื่น ๆ Unless มีความหมายว่า “ถ้าไม่…” มีความหมายเหมือนกับ If...not
สามารถใช้แทนประโยคส่วนที่เป็น If cluase เท่านั้น และต้องใช้กับ

Present Simple Tense และ Past Simple Tense
