INTRO

2018 celebrates Technines 24th year in the game. We have witnessed a
good portion of snowboarding history pass since we came out with our
first baseless binding in 1994.

While approaching the 18/19 collection design, we felt we had to focus
more on the real necessities of snowboarders. We also realized we had no
need for a huge number of models to meet those needs. 8 technologically
proven and rider tested models will be more than enough to do the job.

At the same time we felt so confident in our split binding technology that
we wanted to add a new binding to the collection. The Slugger shares the
same Niner Technology, but the full EVA frame gives riders a totally dif-
ferent feel. Last, we made the choice to embark on a two year outerwear
development project.

With that said we are taking a break from our normal  outerwear line up.
Until that drops we will be running with a smaller than normal outerwear
selection to either hit the slopes or bring it to the streets with that trade-
mark Technine style.

BOARDS
TECHNOLOGY

In the last few years we have put a lot of effort into the improvement
of the quality of our boards. We have explored and tested different
shapes, cambers, constructions and technologies.

This years line up is a representation of all those years and the les-
sons learned. For starters all the models offered this season feature
a Power Tech core. This feature provides our decks with the best
balance of weight, strength and performance.

We also made changes to strengthen impact points to help avoid
cracking and give riders more response.

This season our entire line up is equiped with Triaxial laminate and
Carbon / Kevlar taping. This feature combined with all the other
work that goes into every board pressed will help to guarantee that
what you purchase from us will be exactly what you needed!

3. V-Tech Carbon Taping + Fiberglass Reinforcements
Running carbon in a V formation in the tip and tail of the board is all about
getting that extra snap in your ollies. A smooth, even flex on the nose and tail
will allow for stronger pop and smooth takeoffs when hitting jumps, as well as
more stability when landing and riding out. The fiberglass sheets on tip and
tail will protect the bending zones from bad landings.

4. Carbon Taping (single or double) + Kevlar Crosses
If you want to ollie higher and get the most out of your pop the Kevlar Cross
stringers will deliver. The X formation in the nose and tail channels the flex of
the board and distributes your pop evenly for a clean pop every time. Carbon
Stripe (s) made the whole board stronger and more responsive.

SNOwBOARD CAmBERS

Traditional camber has been around since snowboarding began because it works. It keeps the
contact points of the board on the snow, providing stability at high speeds and stores poten-
tial energy.

With a primarily flat design, you have a spring-loaded ride that will not only blow your mind
but also offer all-terrain high performance. The nose and tail begin to blend into reverse
camber just along the outside edge of your binding for the most forgiving fun float and all-
around easiness.

A hybrid camber with traditional camber under the bindings leading out to the nose and tail
while between the bindings has a rocker camber. The traditional camber in the front and back
allow you to preload the board for extra pop, while the rocker between the bindings moves
the control to the center of the board.

Between the bindings is traditional camber while the tip and tail contain rocker cambers. The
raised tip and tail help float the board in powder and reduce the chances of edge catch, but
with the benefit of the traditional camber pop beneficial with ollies and while powering out of
turns.

We pimped the most reliable camber to date. Ultra Camber is a 0,6” high powered classic
camber combined with a medium flex, resulting in a killer jump machine to hit bigger stuff
where explosive pop is needed.

BINDINGS
TECHNOLOGY

Technine started as a binding company in 1994, as some of you
may know. The first product ever dropped was the baseless binding,
that provided a unmatched board feel for the first jibbers of the early
nineties.

In 2013 we re-invented the baseless binding with TN-14, providing a
supreme mobility of the boot without missing support.

2018 marks the year of the Slugger, the natural evolution of Niner.
Its Nylon 30% Fiberglass Filled strong frame makes this binding
lighter and stiffer than his older brother, but shares with it all the
benefits and the mobility of the split binding Technology.

On the other Side we have the Split Binding OG Niner, that has been
improved with a new construction technology for the 6061 Alloy
frame, making it stronger and stiffer: if you are looking for the ulti-
mate natural and surf feel ride, the Niner remains the best option on
the market hands down.

STREETwEAR
TECHNOLOGY

Through the years we have strived to create functional
gear for the everyday abuse of our team and of course our
customers. For us the process of creating a new line of
outerwear starts with research and days of digging through
feedback.

It is a lot more detailed than just adding a Split T to a piece
of fabric. Our decision to take a break from this years line
and embark on a two year outerwear development project
was not an easy one to come by.

As times changed we had to look at what we had to offer
and in turn felt we were missing a connection with some of
the new trends and available technology. While our guys in
development work on bridging that gap for the next line.
We will still be offering a street wear line up for this season
to keep everyone looking fresh.

Our new All Weather/water resistant Scuba Hoody is sure to
be one of those pieces you will want to add to your collection.
Featuring two breathable inner layers as well as an external
water resistant layer. The Scuba is what you need to dive
into 2018.
