The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released theUPSC CDS CDS Syllabus 2023
application form 2023. The examination is conducted twice a year to choose CDS Selection Process 2023
candidates for Indian Air Force, Indian Naval Academy, Indian Military Academy,
and Officers Training Academy. As of now, the application form is available on the
official website, upsc.gov.in.

The UPSCCDS application formare released twice for CDS (1) and CDS (2).
Candidates who are found to be having prescribed eligibility criteria and submit
the detailed filled form will be allowed to write the UPSC CDS (Combined Defence
Service) examination.

CDS Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria is one of the important factors that have to be followed
before filling the CDS application form.

Nationality

The candidate should be a permanent citizen of India
One should have the relevant certificates to prove their eligibility for the
examination.

Age Limit & Marital Status

The commission has prescribed the concerned age limit and marital status for the
defence academies which will be participating in the UPSC CDS recruitment
process.

Educational Qualification

The final appointment of the candidate shall be done in three academies, namely,
IMA, INA, AFA and OTA. The admissible education qualification to fill the CDS

Defence Academy CDS Educational Qualification

Indian Military Candidate should have completed their Bachelor's
Academy Degrees in any of the
Arts/Commerce/Science/Engineering stream from a
recognised university.

Indian Naval Candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
Academy stream from a recognised college

Air Force Academy Candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree from a
recognised University.

Officer Training Candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree from a
Academy (Men) recognised University

Officer Training Candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree from a
Academy (Women recognised University

CDS Application Form 2023

The CDS application form is available only in the online mode. While filling the
same, they have to ensure that all the details are correct and error free. The
following section consists of the correct steps to complete the formalities of CDS
apply online.

How to Fill the UPSC CDS Application Form?

There are four phases in the CDS application form filling, check out the section
below to know about the same.

Phase 1: Registration

Visit the official website of UPSC, upsc.gov.in
Click on the UPSC CDS application form link and proceed to registration
section
Enter name, date of birth, gender, parent’s name, nationality, community, caste,
category, educational qualification etc
Next, choose the NCC category along with the preference for theIMA, NA, AFA
and OTA
Cross check the details and then move to the next phase

Phase 2: Application Fee Payment

Pay the CDS application fee as admissible to the candidate’s category
Check payment status and move to the next phase

Phase 3:Photo, Signature & Photo Identity CardUpload

Upload the required documents, photo, signature etc in the prescribed format
and size limit
Submit the CDS application form on the dashboard and take its printout.

Phase 4: Center Selection

Login to the dashboard using the registration number and password
Choose the exam center from the list of cities available and then submit the
details
Also, click on the agree to all declaration and complete the application form
filling

Documents Required for UPSC CDS
Application Form

A lot of details are required while filling theCDS 2023 application form. It is for
hence, they have to keep the following documents handy while doing so.

Class 10th, 12th roll number
Academic certificates of Bachelor’s and Master’s degree
Adhaar Card
Caste Certificate
Scanned copy of signature, photograph and id proof within the limit of 20 KB
to 300 KB

Application Fee

As per the notification, the candidates have to pay the application fee as
admissible for their category. One has to pay this fee using any of the online
payment mode i.e. Debit card, Credit card or UPI.

How to Withdraw CDS Application Form 2023?

Candidates who do not wish to write the UPSC CDS examination can choose to
withdraw their application form. These has to be done within the prescribed timing
as notified by the commission. The candidates are allowed to withdraw their CDS
application form but will not get the refund of their application fee.

Click on the CDS application form withdrawal link and proceed
Login with your registration number and password along with the captcha
code
Enter the OTP sent on the email id and mobile number after opting for the
application form withdrawal
Validate the OTP and then wait for the approval. Once the same is done, print
the withdrawal reciept

While filling the CDS application form, the candidates have to choose the test
center by themselves. The link to choose the exam center is activated soon after

Login with your credentials, registration numbe, password and captcha code
Now, fill in details like name, date of birth, address, educational qualification
etc and then choose the exam center city nearest to one’s address.
