People have different perspectives for slavery, some
say that slavery is a good thing, others say that the slaves
were being . There a sons why there are some people
that slavery is a good thing because they believe that
they’re giving a slaves a purpose in life of giving them

“life”.

Some people say that slavery is a great thing to their society but all they really want is
money to become rich off of selling slaves. What I think about the slave owners is there a crew
and races for selling only African-American all brown people should be treated as equals. For
example owners of slaves can break up families at any time and can sell a father a mother or
even their own child.
This is important because it is harmful to the family and to the child to be able to not be together
and get separated for life, that can affect the way the child and the family lives. It can leave for
the wife or father to commit suicide. Another problem is African Americans couldn't be legally
married unless they jump over a broomstick would love without their masters knowing.
African-American should be able to love one another and not get sold if they are in love.

People has different perspective for slavery, some say it's a good thing,
others say that slavery is a terrible thing. I'm one that says slavery is a
terrible thing, owning people and treating them like animals, God wouldn't
want that he created everyone equally, not to own one another. The way
the slave owners that their slaves, children that get taken away from their
families. Slavery should not exist, everyone in this world is created equally.
But men doesn't have the same idea. There people who uses these slaves
for money. They either sell the slaves or use the slaves for picking up
cotton on the cotton fields to make the whites in the south very rich. These
white people doesn’t give a damn for their slaves. The way they treat them,
they see them as animals, not human beings that actually has a soul. I’ve
heard so much terrible things about slavery. God wants us to stop this
madness. I’m not even sure how these people can live with this terrible
things they have done. God wants us all to be equal. Thank you.

I​ feel that slaves barely had time to keep to themselves because all slaveholders did
was make their slaves feel miserable. For example “Saturday nights were a time for
social events, like corn - husking or pea-shelling parties, that combine work and fun”.
This is important because slaves only had time to themselves on the weekends like
students don't have school on Saturday and Sunday because slaveholders were’nt that
merciful. Also another example is ,“ Sunday was a day for religion”. This is important
because on sundays slaves spent their time eating and activities to kick of their leisure
time. Therefore another example is “But on saturday night and sunday, their time was
their own”. This is important because since slaveholders weren’t that merciful they were
a little caring to have their slaves have time to themselves on the weekends. In
conclusion slaveholders were very strict about letting their slaves spend time alone
because slaveholders were’nt that merciful to their slaves.

​ Cruel Punishments for Slaves

One problem is slaveholders, they will whip the slaves very

much for no good reason,or they might just whip them so the

slaves can respect the slaveholders. For example some

slaveholders used harsh punishments beating, whipping,

branding, and other forms of torture to maintain that control. This

is showing how the slaveholders used violence because they

wanted to keep control over them so, the slaves have to fear the

slaveholders. Another problem is some slaves didn't want to get

beat or whipped so they resisted from their slaveholders. For

example some slaves acted/pretend to be dumb, clumsy, sick, or

insane to escape work. One slave avoided working for years by

claiming to be nearly blind, only to regain his sight once freed.

This is showing how slaves suffer so much they pretend they are

about to die so they don’t have to work so once the slaveholders

see they don’t work for anything they let him go free and they

slaves time is all over unless they catch him and make do time

again. ​ .
