His younger self was shocked and didn't know what to say. John told his younger self about all the incredible discoveries he would make in the future, and how successful he would become. However, John started to realize that he had made a mistake. By revealing his future success to his younger self, he had changed the course of his life. He didn't know what the consequences of this would be. He didn't know if he would still become successful or if his future would be altered completely. John realized that he was facing a dilemma. He had the power to change his own past, but at what cost? He had to decide whether to leave things as they were, or to try to change his future by altering his past. As John contemplated his options, he began to feel the weight of his decision. He realized that the consequences of his actions would be irreversible. He decided that the best course of action was to leave things as they were and not interfere with his own past. With a heavy heart, John returned to the present. He knew that he had made the right decision, but it was difficult to accept that he would never know what his life would have been like if he had made a different choice. John learned that sometimes the greatest power is not in changing the past, but in accepting it and moving forward. TEXT 2 THE TIME TRAVELER'S DILEMMA

He demanded that Rara Jonggrang marry him, but she refused. Determined to make her his wife, Bandung Bondowoso waged war against the kingdom of Prambanan. Despite their valiant efforts, the soldiers of Prambanan were no match for the powerful army of Bandung Bondowoso. As the battle raged on, Rara Jonggrang devised a plan to outsmart Bandung Bondowoso. She ordered the women of Prambanan to wake up early and start pounding rice in mortars, lighting fires, and weaving. When Bandung Bondowoso saw the lights from the fires and heard the sounds of the pounding, he thought that the sun was rising and that it was time to stop the battle. He asked Rara Jonggrang to marry him, but she asked him to fulfill her impossible request first. She asked him to build one thousand temples in one night. Bandung Bondowoso agreed, confident in his magical powers. He began to build the temples using his supernatural abilities, but Rara Jonggrang realized that they would lose their kingdom and culture if the temples were built. So she ordered the women of Prambanan to pound rice, light fires, and make loud noises to create the illusion of dawn. Thinking that he had failed to complete Rara Jonggrang's request, Bandung Bondowoso was filled with rage. Once upon a time, in a land called Java, there lived a wise king named Sanjaya. He ruled over the kingdom of Mataram and had many subjects who respected and loved him. King Sanjaya was a devout follower of the Hindu religion and was known for his piety and devotion to the gods. One day, the king decided to build a grand temple to honor the gods. He chose a beautiful location on the slopes of the Mount Ungaran, which offered breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. He named the temple complex "Candi Gedongsongo" which means "nine temples on a hill". The king assigned a team of skilled craftsmen to build the temples, and they worked tirelessly for many years. However, they encountered many challenges along the way, including harsh weather conditions and attacks by wild animals. Despite these obstacles, the craftsmen persevered, and the temples gradually took shape. One day, the king visited the temple complex to inspect the progress. He was amazed by the beauty and grandeur of the temples and felt proud of his decision to build them. However, as he was walking around, he heard a strange noise coming from one of the temples. It sounded like someone was hammering nails into the walls. Curious, the king went to investigate. As he entered the temple, he saw a mysterious figure dressed in white, hammering nails into the walls. The figure had long hair and a beard and appeared to be in a trance. The king watched in amazement as the figure worked, not noticing his presence. After a while, the figure stopped hammering and turned to face the king. He introduced himself as Kyai Gede Ing Suro, a wise man and a spiritual leader who had been meditating in the temple for many years. He had come to the temple complex to help the king and his people and had taken on the task of completing the final temple in the complex. King Sanjaya was amazed by Kyai Gede's wisdom and spirituality and immediately offered him a place in his court. Kyai Gede accepted the offer and became the king's advisor and confidant. He helped the king to rule justly and wisely, and the kingdom of Mataram flourished under his guidance. The legend of Candi Gedongsongo lives on to this day, and the temple complex remains a popular tourist destination. It is said that Kyai Gede's spirit still inhabits the temples, and many visitors report feeling a sense of peace and tranquility when they visit. 18 TEXT 6 CANDI GEDONG SONGO
