THE IMPORTANCE OF RECORDS MANAGEMENT
TOWARDS AN ORGANIZATION
Records management is concerned with achieving the minimum usage of
money and efficiency in the creation, maintenance, use and disposal of
organization’s records. While as for business records management, it is about
a field of management responsibilities for the efficient and systematic control
of the creation, maintenance, use and disposition of business records.
Records management have many importance and plays an important role in
managing an organizations.
The purpose of the study is to know the importance of retention schedule and
recordkeeping in the organization processes and performance. On these
days, organizations does not know and aware of the importance of records
management. Unnecessary documents are being kept until they does not
know the value of the document itself. That is why disposal plays an important
role as it can help them in increasing their efficiency in doing the work and
also to ensure that the organizations can retain the records as long as they
are needed.
Based on the findings, it is important to have a proper records management
in an organizations as it can gives an impact towards the flow of process in
the organization. The files will be nicely organised when it has a proper
recordkeeping management thus workers will be able to look for suitable
documents without wasting any time. Thus, it will increase the efficiency and
the effectiveness of the workers in the organization.
