OUR VOICE
NOVEMBER 2021 VOLUME - 13

MESSAGE BY THE

PRINCIPALDear Dipsites

Each one of you, across Nursery-XII, has been designed
by God with a fair proportion of unique skills and

talents of value , which are capable of great service to
humanity.

On this Children’s Day of 2021, I would like to encourage
each one of you to make an effort to understand yourself,
your current capabilities and the capabilities you would

like to develop in yourself. The more clear and
determined you are, to become a better learner, a better
organizer, a better thinker, a better empathiser, a better

giver , the more power your dreams will have.

Let me remind you to believe in the power that lies in good efforts to
make a greater and better you possible. And the best thing is that you

can break your journey towards greatness into small steps, taken
every day. They will add up to a colossal effort and even more colossal

outcome. Sounds doable , doesn’t it ?
Having dreams is a good thing. On the sheer strength of dreams of

strong willed individuals , families , organisation nations and
humanity as a whole have thrived over and over again.

No matter how difficult certain learning appears to be, just persist.
Keep your efforts and dreams alive. Instead of “Will I?” , ask yourself,

“By when will I? ‘’
Happy conversation with your own self!

Happy Children’s Day!
Best wishes always
Surjeet Khanna

Gurpurab, Diwali and Children's Day

Gurpurab or Guru Nanak Jayanti is the most important
and sacred festival of the Sikh community and is
observed by them across the world. The festival is

celebrated every year on a full moon day in the month of
Kartik, according to the Hindu lunar calendar – Kartik

Purnima, falling mostly during October-November. Guru
Nanak, who is the first among the 10 Sikh gurus, was
born in Talwandi, a village in the Sheikhupura district,
near Lahore, Pakistan, on April 15, 1469. However, his
birthday is celebrated during the month of Kartik in
autumn. It is believed that in 1496 he received

enlightenment and preached the world about peace and
religious harmony.

Just like Gurpurab, Diwali is one of the major festivals
of Hindu Culture. Diwali is the season to celebrate
with joy and cheer. It was the day when king Rama
destroyed the evil forces and reached home to a

rousing welcome by his subjects. Diwali has long been
associated with bursting crackers, which is not in the

true spirits of the festival. .

The main motive of the festival is to spread
happiness with your loved ones. Festivals have
been made to reinforce strong bonds between

families and friends, and Diwali is the best
example. It gets more exciting at night because
lots of sky-lanterns are released into the air that

flies high and lights up the night sky. Diwali
teaches us to be patient for good things in life

Celebrated on the 14th of November every year,
Children’s Day is an occasion that honours the joy

of childhood. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first
Prime Minister of India, was born on the 14th of

November. He loved children, and he was a
strong advocate of children’s education as he
believed that they were the future leaders of the
country. Pandit Nehru strongly believed that
children could be moulded at a young age, which
is why educating them to be productive and
responsible citizens was of utmost importance.
After his death in 1964, his birthday was declared

Children’s Day, nationwide

JOY OF GIVING

By giving someone something which is
useful to that person gives us happiness

and satisfaction. The joy of giving not
only means giving materialistic it also
means giving something emotionally. We

can also give things by sharing our
learnings or talent with others. We can
share old things which are not useful to

us anymore or we can also give new
things. It will double our joy and
happiness.

LAAVANYA GUPTA(5-D)

Children are the gifts of God; let them fly with their own thoughts

“Children’s Day is one of the most auspicious days in the life of every child. Children’s Day
or Baal Diwas is celebrated on the 14th of November, on the birth anniversary of Pandit
Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of Independent India. Jawaharlal Nehru was a
member of the Indian National Congress and was a part of the long freedom struggle against the
British. Children were very dear to him and he is fondly remembered as Chacha Nehru by
children. He was a firm believer of the capability of children. He also had glorious love for

children and considered that children are the upcoming future creators of the nation.
If we need to preserve our future, then it is the duty of all of us to build the future of these
children in a better direction. As an honour to his love for children, our land began to remember
his birthday as Children’s Day. Children’s day is celebrated in all schools and colleges and
various activities are performed to make children thrilled and delightful. Many schools invite
orphans to participate in the activities and they are given various gift items for the same. Schools
also organise assemblies where teachers perform organise music and dance & many more things.
The day is an icing on the cake as we get gifts and are not scolded by our parents and can enjoy
the whole day. Many people on this day, distribute clothes, food, books, stationery items etc to

the unprivileged children and thus make their day special and memorable.
In nutshell, it is the duty of every citizen to preserve children rights and should make every

possible effort to make children study and become successful in their lives.

1989: The Berlin Wall Falls Date

Date: Nov. 9
Location: Berlin, East and West Germany

Cracks in the monolithic Soviet bloc are starting to appear in

the 1980s, and the very symbol of communist repression
comes crashing down in November, when the Berlin Wall is
breached, ending a 28-year division of the city. During the
day on Nov. 9, a spokesman for East Berlin's Communist Party
says starting at midnight that day, citizens of East Germany
are free to cross the country's borders. Almost immediately

Berliners start slamming the wall with axes and
sledgehammers. By nightfall, the celebration turns into what
one observer calls "the greatest street party in the history of
the world" and the city is reunited. East and West Germany

would reunite one year later.

This picture shows a person chained to a
smartphone. Instead of removing or trying to

let go of it, the person is instead, scrolling
through it. Using and watching smartphones
is our choice and most of us tend to use it. One
should analyse one’s screen time. Also, one
should consider deleting all social media apps.

In today's time, human life is immensely dependent on
technology, which highly involves mobile phones that

offer social media and entertainment. The picture
correctly depicts that humans are chained to mobile
phones and aren't independent. Mobile phones and
technical gadgets have enslaved humans and there is an
immediate need for them to control their habits before

they are completely blinded by these gadgets.

This picture shows how we have been addicted to our
phones. We are not ready to leave them. What we must

understand is that they are our false friends . Many
negative impacts such has poor eyesight, frustration ,
neck pain etc are due to them. Instead of sticking to our
electronic gadgets,we should try to enjoy the beauty of

nature and spend time with our family and friends
because that is the right way of spending leisure time.

This picture depicts how people have been so addicted
to gadgets that they cannot live without them. The

handcuffs represent the addiction or dependence that
one has on phones these days. People often feel that
what they see or hear digitally won't affect them but
research shows that it can have an awful impact on their

mental health.

This picture depicts that we are chained to our
mobiles. Though, they are useful but misuse by
people today has made it a very dangerous thing.
Some people even take it to the bathroom and a new
phobia-fear of being without phone nomophobia
has also developed in some people. The use of social
media have made people ignorant and a slave to it.
It’s is high time we realise that we should not be on
our phone every time and do something productive

like reading a book.
