Should Know

T he first truth Native Americans should know is
that salvation in Jesus Christ is not the white
man's religion. In fact, Jesus was not a white man!
Native Jewish people from the country of Israel are a
brown-skinned people with very distinctive features.
They are not white people. Scholars classify both
Jews and Arabs as Semitic peoples. Not only were
the Apostles and all the men used by God to record
His Words in the Bible non-white natives of the
Middle East, but also all the members of the first
Christian church were non-white people.

It is true that many white people have received
Christ and have found salvation and a new life in
Him. Many Native Americans have received Christ as
well. Salvation is available to all races and peoples.
The Bible states in John 3:16, "For God so loved the
world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but
have everlasting life."

T he second truth you should know is that you can
be saved and still be a Native American.
Receiving Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour will
not make you any less of a Native American. In fact, a
truly born-again (saved) Native American will be a
better person. A born-again Native American is able
to live as a free person -- free from drinking alcohol
and using drugs. Receiving Jesus Christ as your
Saviour will also free you from other sins which
enslave many Native Americans and ruin their lives.

T he third truth every Native American should
know is that you cannot get to Heaven by being
a good person. Salvation (the kind of real Christianity
the Bible speaks of) is not gained by doing good
works. The Bible states in Romans 3:23, "For all have
sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" No
person, regardless of their race, can live a good
enough life to be saved or enter Heaven. The Bible
teaches in Ephesians 2:8-9, "For by grace are ye
saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is
the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should
boast."

Salvation does not come from being good, but can
only be obtained from believing in the Lord Jesus
Christ and in Him alone! Jesus Himself said, "... I am
the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto
the Father, but by me." (John 14:6) The Bible also
states in Acts 4:12, "Neither is there salvation in any
other: for there is none other name under heaven
given among men, whereby we must be saved."

"... God... now commandeth all men every where
to repent:" (Acts 17:30) Will you repent? Will you
turn away from your sin, your ideas, and your
self-effort and turn to Him? My friend, please turn
from your sins and trust in Jesus Christ, who loves
you so much that He allowed Himself to be nailed to
a cross to pay for all your sins. The Bible teaches,
"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be
saved," (Acts 16:31) If you will receive Jesus Christ

into your heart by trusting Him to save your soul,
you will become a son of God and spend eternity
in Heaven. "But as many as received him, to them
gave he power to become the sons of God, even to
them that believe on his name:" (John 1:12)

God promises that He will save you if you will
trust Jesus Christ to be your Saviour. "That if thou
shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and
shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised
him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." (Romans
10:9)

Please don't wait until its too late! Trust Him
today! "Seek ye the Lord while he may be found,
call ye upon him while he is near:" (Isaiah 55:6)
