HISTORIC CELEBRATIONS

Our celebration of 60 years is heightened by one
more special celebration. Jane Kessler, Ph.D.
celebrated her 100th birthday this year! Jane is
very special to our Clubhouse community. A long
time board member and friend of the Clubhouse,
and mentor to Lori, Jane spent 50 years as a
distinguished psychologist before her retirement in
1993 when she became the proprietor of Appletree
Books in Cleveland Heights. Today Appletree is
owned and operated by Jane’s longtime friend Lynn
Quintrell who helped celebrate Jane’s birthday
by encouraging patrons of her store to honor Jane
with a gift to Magnolia Clubhouse in her honor.
Jane’s friends also encouraged others to support the
Clubhouse in honor of her special birthday as they
had 10 years ago, when we celebrated Jane’s 90th
birthday at Magnolia Clubhouse.
