SING, A CELEBRATION OF MUSIC

Thank you for being a part of changing the lives of people in your community through your support of The Evolve Gala.
Kevin and I became involved in The Centers’ mission after learning that the organization created the first intensive
residential treatment program in Arkansas for survivors of human trafficking. Melissa Dawson, CEO of The Centers,
and I visited over lunch a few times. The more I learned, the more I knew we had to be involved.

Today, The Centers is a national resource center for young people who have survived being sold for sex or labor.
The Elizabeth Mitchell Adolescent Center at The Centers serves young women who are survivors of human trafficking
or at risk of being trafficked.

Wanting to share what we learned about The Centers Human Trafficking Treatment program, we hosted a party at
our home where we educated our friends about the program’s mission. Through our friend’s generous gifts, we were
able to provide more recreational opportunities, creative therapies and support for independent living to girls at
The Centers. Kevin and I are actively volunteering to help young women in The Centers program, inviting other people
to join together to raise awareness and working to end this abuse that is sadly all too common.

Photography by Melisa Smock In January, we helped The Centers Foundation raise both awareness and funds through the sale of specially designed
t-shirts and bracelets. Staff created shirts emblazoned with the message “End. Human. Trafficking.” and survivors

and Honorees
Having recently retired from The Hatcher Agency after 23 years of service, I am especially thrilled to recognize Greg
Hatcher as our Hero of Hope this evening. We are also proud to recognize this year’s Champions of Hope. We have
three sons – Hank, Sam and Max – so we know the importance of teaching our children how to serve and make a
difference and this program does just that.

Let’s celebrate the important mission of The Centers together. Thank you for changing the lives of young people who
have experienced trauma and are finding their way to recovery with help from you. Give generously this evening!

With appreciation,
Wendy and Kevin Hannah

He lettered in soccer, wrestling and baseball at Alma College, cementing a lifelong love of sports.

He started The Hatcher Agency in September of 1990 and, three years later, was named Arkansas’ Small Business
of the Year by Arkansas Business. The Hatcher Agency has led the state of Arkansas in insurance sales every year
since 1990.

He authored the book 55 Steps to Outrageous Service, which outlines how to provide the exceptional service for
which The Hatcher Agency is known.

Greg first became involved with The Centers for Youth and Families when his friend Larry Waschka asked to help
children being cared for at The Centers’ residential home in Little Rock. Greg led efforts to rename an area of the
children’s home in Larry’s memory.

In addition to more than 20 years of service to The Centers, Greg has served as a board member for the Little Rock
Marathon, Baptist Health Foundation, American Heart Association, The Arkansas Wrestling Association and the
Arthritis Foundation.

He founded The Arkansas Wrestling Association and purchased equipment for 65 high schools and 13 colleges to
create their wrestling programs. For his work, he was inducted into the Arkansas Wrestling Hall of Fame and the
National Wrestling Hall of Fame. Now, more than 4,000 school-aged youth participate in wrestling Arkansas.

Greg is married to Lee Hatcher and they have five children: Kelsey, Haley, Larkin, Layne and Mattie. They attend

Your gifts tonight support The Centers’ mission of meeting the unique and evolving needs of the people and
communities served by providing comprehensive, integrated care that promotes physical, emotional and
social wellness.

Last year, you made it possible to provide critical behavioral health care services, including healing care for survivors
of human trafficking all across Arkansas.

Because of you, The Centers has the largest Therapeutic Foster Care program in the state, with 60 foster families in
six counties caring for 80 children every month.

The Centers is a national resource center for victims of human trafficking, serving child, adolescent and adult victims
in Arkansas and other states. We are a community resource, offering training and educational opportunities to raise
awareness and inform citizens about this growing crime.

The Centers is home to 82 boys and girls in Little Rock and 26 boys and girls at our Southeast Arkansas Residential
Center in Monticello. Our comprehensive approach to care incorporates clinical, therapeutic and holistic modalities
like trauma-informed yoga, and art and music therapies.

The Centers is the Community Mental Health Center for adults in Pulaski County, south of the Arkansas River. We
provide outpatient counseling, day treatment, care coordination, crisis care and more to adults in need.

This year, we have learned to adapt and pivot to meet needs of people struggling with the COVID-19 pandemic and
related challenges. Many adults and families who are calling The Centers for the first time are experiencing layoffs,
stress at work, domestic violence or marital struggles. An increased number of individuals of all backgrounds in
our state and communities are feeling the direct and indirect effects of the pandemic and are in need of mental and
behavioral counseling services – some for the first time. During the past year, we have provided outpatient care
through telemedicine and in-person visits. We have reached out to first responders, medical providers, people in
quarantine, veterans, people who are homeless or near homeless and others in need letting them know they can
access mental health services at The Centers, even at no cost to them. Together, we help to heal people from trauma
and help them create their best path to success.
