BUSINESS CONCEPT

My name is Muhammad Syahir bin Supian who is owner of TheS SFB Enterprise. TheS SFB
Enterprise started operating in July 2021. I sell “Kerepek Tempe” and various Origina drinks
from Fruit Juice Beverages, Mixed Drink of Tea & Fruit, and the extent to the Dairy product. I
am very happy and thankful, after a few days selling “Kerepek Tempe” and Origina drinks,
many customers satisfied with our product. In addition, our customers are found throughout
the Peninsular of Malaysia.

The channel that I had used for my business are WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and Website.
By using these channels, I was able to expand my business to the whole of peninsular Malaysia
quickly. Furthermore, I am able to interact with my customers to get feedback on the products
I sell. This channel allows me to share a little bit of knowledge about my product s and they
can buy online through this channel. I can share how I packing our customers’ order to make
sure customers trust us.

Next, my key activities are by posting daily in all business social media such as Facebook and
Instagram around 4 to 6 pictures to attract customers and strengthen our relationship with
customers. Based on high demand for “Kerepek Tempe” and Origina drinks, I will restock
Origina drinks weekly and ensure every customer gets their order on time. For “Kerepek
Tempe”, I will prepare as many jars of “Kerepek Tempe” as I can make at one time. Then, I
will provide free Cash on Delivery (COD) around Kulai and Johor Bahru. I have also provided
a platform on our website that allows our customers to tell stories about them to us. This way
can strengthen our relationship with our loyal customers.

REASON FOR SELLING THE PRODUCT

There are a few reasons why I am selling “Kerepek Tempe” and Origina drinks. The
main reason is I don’t believe there are any “Kerepek Tempe” products on the market yet.
Furthermore, these “Kerepek Tempe” are famous in several districts in the state of Johor such
as Kluang, Muar and Batu Pahat. So, I saw this as the best opportunity for me to start a
business.

For Origina Drinks, I am selling this product because I want to know how to manage
the business through agents. Furthermore, this product is a low-cost start-up. So, I only need
a small capital to start selling this product. As a full-time student with limited capital, this
product is suitable for me to do business at a young age. Based on the current situation, I am
confident many businesses need dropships and agents to grow their business. So, I was
among those who took the opportunity.

Furthermore, I sell “Kerepek Tempe” because the food industry was unaffected by the
Pandemic Covid-19. As we know that many industries were affected by this pandemic but the
food industry can still survive. It is because people are more willing to spend their money on
necessities such as food or drinks than new clothes or have a vacation. So, that’s why I sell
“Kerepek Tempe” which is under the food industry.

Finally, I sell Origina drinks because based on my research, most the students sell food
such as cookies, choco jars and others. So, I took this opportunity by selling drinks which is
Origina Drinks. But I know every business has challenges such as not getting a response and
competition with other competitors. However, I am thankful because this product got an
overwhelming response from customers which caused me to have to restock weekly.

EXPERIENCE
First of all, with gratitude, all praised go to Him, The Creator of all. Alhamdulillah, t

hank you to the all-mighty ALLAH S.W.T because of His divine guidance which has enabled
me to finish my assignment on time. Next, I would like to thanks to my E-entrepreneurship
lecturer, Madam Zuraidah binti Nordin, for her guidance, support and advice. This subject
taught me a lot of things such as how to start my own business and how to take picture of
product. If I don’t study this subject, I will do not get new knowledge because every learning
session by the lecturer is knowledge that is beneficial for me.

Upon finding out that this semester will study the subject E-entrepreneurship (ETR
2853), I am very excited because this is my first-time venture into business properly. For the
first time attending E-entrepreneurship class with Madam Zuraidah, I am little bit nervous
because I have no experience in this field of business but Madam Zuraidah teach us so well
that we understand it.

I do not deny that Madam Zuraidah has taught a lot as well as helped in this subject.
I think without her guidance, I cannot finish this assignment well. In first class, Madam
Zuraidah teach us about introduction to Entrepreneurship. In this subtopic, we learn about
definition, advantages and disadvantages of being entrepreneur and characteristic of
successful entrepreneur. Based on my experience as entrepreneur, I can understand what I
learned in first subtopic where I feels that experience.

After that, I learned about business idea and model generation. In this subtopic, I
learned about how to make my own Business Model Canvas (BMC). This BMC very helpful to
me in my business because it is describing a product’s value proposition, infrastructure,
customers and finance. For example, I can know what my business’s value proposition such
as secure packaging, various flavours and high-quality product. So, I can focus on that aspect
to continue my business activities.

Then, I learned developing an effective business plan. I trust that everything needs
good planning to make sure it runs smoothly. So, what I learned in class, I will be practical in
real situations by having a good plan such as trend analysis, set realistic goals and marketing
planning. For example, I have use trend analysis under google trend to search what products
are the people’s choice. Using this method, I can know what product should I sell for this
subject. So, I think it is very suitable for someone who want to start their business.

Next, I learned about social media. There are many social media that Madam Zuraidah
teach me such as Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Website. From this social media, I had
learned how to create social media account, creating attractive pictures to influence customers
and copywriting hard and soft sell. With this social media, I also can strengthen the
relationship between us and customers. Moreover, I had provided a platform on our website
that allows our customers to tell stories about them to us. The platform is E-Kasih and every
information of our senders will not be disseminated and we take care of every information of
our customers.

In addition, I also have experience in managing stocks efficiently. By managing the
stock well, I can identify whether the items are in stocks or not. So, it can make easier for me
to complete customer orders. After that, I have experience in handling customer. For example,
I can communicate friendly with customer when they ask about our product and it can increase
customers’ trust on us. So, that’s why we use the slogan “Making customer happy, make us
happy”.

As a full-time student, I able to manage time well during study time or business time.
It is because my study time is 8.30 a.m. until 5 p.m. so, I need to manage it properly. Moreover,
at night, I will do my homework and study until 11 p.m. then, I will manage customer orders.
I knew that I would be tired due to lack of rest but I am really enjoying this experience as
part time entrepreneur.

Finally, this subject really gave me a lot of experience when I learned this subject. So,
I hope others student that will learn this subject, take this opportuning well for our career. It

is because as an entrepreneur, we also can be a successful person no matter what obstacles
we face.

FACEBOOK

INTRODUCTION TO FACEBOOK

Facebook is the popular social media platform in the world. The owner of Facebook is
Mark Zuckerberg who is among the richest people in the world. Facebook was founded in
February 4, 2004 in America. In September 2012, more than billions of people use Facebook
on a daily basis. Everyone can download and sign-up Facebook account for free. After sign
up, users can create their own profile that includes information about themselves. The users
can enjoy various things on Facebook such as uploading photos and video, sending messages
to friends and making post.

As we know that, we can like, comment and share on any post in our Facebook timeline.
It means if we interesting with that post, we can click button like signifies we like the post
and can share the post to our friends. Before that, the users must make sure already has
friends on the friend list before communicating each other. The procedure consists of the user
sending a “Friend Request” and the receiver accepting the request. Furthermore, Facebook
can be linked with some other social media such as WhatsApp and Instagram because all this
social media is under one company.

In my opinion, Facebook is the most suitable social media platform for a business. This
is because with Facebook, we can grow the business more rapidly because most of the people
prefer to use Facebook. Next, we can share about the business to our customers easily
because Facebook has no limit to send a post. It means I could post 100 photos in an album
on Facebook than Instagram that I cannot do like that. Finally, we can create event through
Facebook such as giveaway and sales. It is because Facebook can help us convey about the
event we want to do to our friends. So, our friends will not miss the event held due to the
event platform on Facebook.
