Pasadena Community Relief Effort

Your Pasadena Chamber has been proactively engaging with retailers, senior living facilities and non-
profit organizations in order to understand what needs currently exist within our community and building a
platform that will allow us to more readily connect community needs with available resources while also
observing CDC guidelines for safety and social distancing.

We know that Pasadena shows up in times of need and we are committed to connecting our community together during this
difficult time. This page is for those organizations who need supplies, volunteers or financial assistance, as well as those who are
willing to donate supplies, financial assistance or act as a volunteer.

HOW THIS WILL WORK:

MY ORGANIZATION HAS A NEED:
If your organization has a need, please fill out the form by CLICKING HERE. Once we receive your form, we will work to match
you with someone who has the means to fill your organizations need(s). We will then be in direct contact with you to get your
need(s) met as soon as possible. Please fill out the form in its entirety so that we can accurately match your need(s).

I CAN HELP:
If you have the means to donate supplies or financial assistance, or want to volunteer, please fill out the form by CLICKING
HERE. There are certain items in the form that you can “check off” if you have the means to donate those items. We will keep
this list updated each day to ensure its accuracy. Once we receive your form, we will match you with someone and contact
you directly with instructions on how to deliver your items to your match.

We also understand that there is a large demand for assistance in our community and are coordinating with all of our non-
profits, churches and others that are hosting their own collections and distribution points that desire to serve during this time.
Collectively we will be able to meet the needs for Pasadena. #connectingyourcommunity #keeppasadenastrong

Re-Opening

Texas

As Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced last week, we will gradually be re-opening Texas in phases, the first of which went
into affect on Friday, May 1st. This phased approach will hopefully prevent a second, stronger wave of COVID-19, while still
allowing Texas business owners to get back to work.
To help our members, we are sharing a guide created by our partners at Greater Houston Partnership.
CLICK HERE to view this report now.
The recommendations in this guide are based on the facts and data available at this time. They are intended to provide a
roadmap for our region’s industry sectors during a time of great uncertainty. These best practices are intended for general
information purposes only and not intended to be, nor should they be interpreted as, legal or entity-specific advice.
Included are federal guidelines for employers to re-open their businesses safely, best practices and a resource guide from
national, state and regional trade associations with industry-specific guidance for a safe re-opening.

In addition, the US Chamber of Commerce has put out a “Coronavirus Best Practices for Small Businesses that will allow you to
manage the situation for your employees and customers.
Some key items included in this guide are how to prioritize critical operations, proper cleaning procedures in the workplace,
procedures for sick employees, teleworking policies, employee communication, and much more.
Both the Greater Houston Partnership and the US Chamber of Commerce are trusted partners of the Pasadena Chamber of
Commerce.
