Luncheon, honoring 2022 Non-Profit of the Year CT Church Pasadena, and our first ever “Put Pasadena To Work” Job Fair

Industrial Appreciation Golf Tournament

It is always such a joy getting to honor our annual award winners, and this time of year is dedicated to our Industry
of the Year recipient. On May 9, we held our Industrial Appreciation Golf Tournament, honoring Port Houston as our
2022 Industry of the Year and celebrating all of our friends in Industry. The Pasadena Chamber of Commerce mission
is “to promote economic development and community growth to ensure the prosperity of Pasadena’s business and
citizens.” We cannot accomplish this mission without the support and partnership with industry within our great city. That
is why this tournament is called Industrial Appreciation Golf Tournament because we appreciate the work that they do
day in and day out for our communities. We know that there is much more than working their shifts, like giving back to
our community, meeting safety standards, and staying committed to promote workforce development for the future of
our industry.

We want to thank our event chairman, Ryan Taylor of T & T Construction and his co-chair, Terry Kenney of Turner
Industries, as well as all the sponsors, players, event committee, staff and volunteers for another successful event!

Pasadena Memorial High School has highest
attendance at the “Put Pasadena to Work” Job Fair!

The Pasadena Chamber asked Pasadena ISD High
School principals to send their seniors to our first Job Fair
in April. We promised the high school with the highest
attendance a check for $250. Jeremy Richardson,
principal of Pasadena Memorial, took the win this time!

IMPACT Pasadena enjoys their April day learning
about Local Government.

The 2022 IMPACT Pasadena Cohort spent their April
session together at Pasadena City Hall. Throughout the
day, they attended a city council meeting, met with
Mayor Jeff Wagner and members of city council, toured
the communications department, had a conversation
with Chief of Staff, Dan Pennington, and focused on the
15 Invaluable Laws during their leadership development
session.

Volunteer Pasadena announces their summer
volunteer opportunities

Volunteer Pasadena is a City of Pasadena program that
matches citizens’ skills and energy with current needs
in our city. They partner with private and community
based organizations to provide city-wide volunteer
opportunities.

At this time, they are currently seeking volunteers
interested in serving at the Community Safety Fair &
Hurricane Workshop on June 4th, a craft class at the
Madison Jobe Senior Center on May 19th, 4th Fest on
July 4th, and a lot more!
