Chambergram 3 From The Chairman of the Board Kicker Cardenas Kicker Insures Me Agency Dear Chamber Members, I hope this letter finds you off to a great start in this new year! As the Chairman of the Board for the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce, I want to extend a warm welcome to each of you. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to assist such a diverse tapestry of businesses that form the bedrock of our dynamic community. I am eager to embrace the opportunities and successes in our collective journey in 2024. As a small business owner in the insurance industry, I understand the challenges and triumphs that many of you navigate daily. Our Chamber is here to support your business, provide valuable resources, foster collaboration, and create an environment where all businesses can thrive. A great example of this was the quick actions of our Chamber during the historic tornado that left a path of destruction through Pasadena and neighboring cities in January of 2023. Many businesses and individuals were affected, even devastated, and our Chamber took action immediately in disseminating information to assist in the recovery of our local business community. Our chamber directly impacted my business as well. I gained invaluable relationships from attending the leadership program, IMPACT. Our office designed a new customer satisfaction survey based on lessons learned while attending the Free Pasadena Loves Local event which was attended by myself and some of my staff. Also, we have shared our expertise with other businesses so they can explore and decide on new technologies to transform their business. We encourage you to immerse your business in the Chamber allowing all team members in your organization to benefit. Everyone can engage in the events and take advantage of the opportunities available. Watch your team transform your business by gaining leadership skills, sales training, marketing assistance, and knowledge of the area that many of them not only work in but may also live in, play in, or worship in. Their involvement can propel the business’s success and also magnify our collective impact on our community. Thank you for the opportunity to serve you and I look forward to getting to know each of you and working together to make Pasadena a better place for all. Please feel free to contact me or any member of our staff with your suggestions, concerns, or ideas. Your input is invaluable as we continue to move our community forward! Sincerely, Kicker Cardenas, Chairman - PCOC Kicker Insures Me Agency - President & Principal Agent

Chambergram 13 As a member of the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce, we want you to know that your voice matters! In late 2022, we held a breakfast meeting called CEO Circle, where we met with CEO’s, business owners and executive staff from our Diamond, Platinum and Gold membership. During this meeting, there was a common theme that kept getting brought up...workforce issues. Across all industries of business, our members are having a hard time attracting and retaining quality staff, and wanted to know what we could do to help. After this event, we decided to launch a Workforce Development committee to address this ongoing issue for our members. After only four meetings this year, our new committee has launched a webpage on our Pasadena Chamber website called “Workforce Center.” This webpage hosts a user friendly job board, resources for both job seekers and employers, and a lot more. We invite you to check out that webpage and share it across your networks so we can help Put Pasadena to Work! CLICK HERE to view the webpage.
