Chambergram 12 As a member of the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce, we want you to know that your voice matters! In late 2022, we held a breakfast meeting called CEO Circle, where we met with CEO’s, business owners and executive staff from our Diamond, Platinum and Gold membership. During this meeting, there was a common theme that kept getting brought up...workforce issues. Across all industries of business, our members are having a hard time attracting and retaining quality staff, and wanted to know what we could do to help. After this event, we decided to launch a Workforce Development committee to address this ongoing issue for our members. After only four meetings this year, our new committee has launched a webpage on our Pasadena Chamber website called “Workforce Center.” This webpage hosts a user friendly job board, resources for both job seekers and employers, and a lot more. 2023 IMPACT Pasadena Your monthly IMPACT Pasadena check In. Check out what this amazing group of leaders got to do this week! Our 2023 IMPACT Cohort spent the day at the San Jacinto College EDGE Center, where they learned about potential growth opportunities and industry trends in health care, transportation, infrastructure, and airport industries. They heard from panels including Texas Chiropractic College, HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast, Economic Alliance Houston Port Region, Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership, and Houston Airport System. Chambergram 23 Member Connection Pasadena Chamber of Commerce members Artwin Graphics and ADS Custom Signs appreciate the Chamber’s help for creating a match made in Heaven. Erin Webb worked with Resources Manager, Roni Archer, to help connect her with UHCL Dr. Leo Chan, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Communication and Digital Media Studies, College of Human Sciences and Humanities to secure summer intern, Brooke Lading. Brooke will help to create and sustain a digital media marketing plan for both ADS and Artwin Graphics. Brooke is handling all digital marketing, which includes social media, websites, and chamber profiles. Brooke graduated from College of the Mainland in May 2020 with an Associates degree in Art. She is working on her Communications degree from University of Houston Clear Lake. Her coursework Principles of Public Relations, Visual Communication, and Media Writing will be extremely helpful in bringing ADS Custom Signs and Artwin Graphics into the digital age of advertising.
