Greenway Walk

“Bye mom, I’m going for a walk,” I said.
It was a nice day for a walk in Greenway

Forest. It was a perfect name for the forest
because everything was green like the trees,
bushes, grass, plants and more.

I sat down, and I leaned against a big
green tree that was about 20 feet tall. It was
quiet and peaceful. It was so quiet that I
almost fell asleep to the sound of the trees
blowing in the gentle wind.

Then I heard something. It was coming from
behind a bush. When I first heard the sound, I was
suddenly wide awake, my heart started beating
really fast then I looked around I first looked behind
me. Then to the right of me, then to the left, but I
didn't see anything, so I started to follow the noise.

I went to the left because that’s where the noise
was coming from so I followed it and it sounded like
a rabbit or something small. Then I looked behind
me and there my younger brother was laughing.

I yelled at him, “What are you

doing out here? You know you
aren't supposed to be out here!’’

He said, “Mom said to come get you
because lunch is ready, and I thought it would
be funny to scare you and it was!”

“Chaden, that's not funny! You scared me,”
I yelled.

So I walked back to the house with him still
mad about him scaring me, but then we were
both laughing about it.

My mom asked what Chaden, and I
were laughing about. Chaden told her
the whole story, and my mom was even
laughing about it.

We had grilled cheese and tomato
soup for lunch. They were really good.
Grilled cheese is my favorite.

After that, I went out to Greenway
Forest. Then I heard another noise, and it
wasn’t my brother this time. It was a box
of kittens!

There were 4 kittens and a mom. I was
super shocked, I didn't know what to do at
first.You could tell that the mom had not
ate in a while. So carried the box back to
my house.

When I get there Chaden asked me
what I was holding and I showed him. We
really wanted to keep them, so we went to
go ask mom, and she told us she would
have to think about it. She told us to take
them into the living room while she ran to
the store quick to get some food for them
mom cat.

When she got back, and she looked at
them and she said, “There and 3 girls and
1 boy.

The first cat she looked at was orange
and white, the second cat she looked at
was all white, the third cat she looked at
was a calico cat, and the fourth cat was
the boy and he was white and gray.

They were all perfect. My mom said we
can keep them but we have to take them
to the vet tomorrow. So we did. My mom
was right! There are 3 girls and 1 boy. The
kittens are healthy, but the mom need to
eat and drink a lot of water and then she
will be fine.

We got back home, and we were
deciding on the names and the first girl is
name is Shiloh, the next girl’s name is
Puzzles, the third girl is Chayla, and the
boy is Tux.

They live happily ever after. THE END!
