The King Returns

Once upon a time, in the small but vibrant Pastel Kingdom, the
ruler of these peaceful kingdom called King Bobo returned to
the palace. He and a his troops made a visit to Plaid Kingdom to
discuss a few important matters.

As soon as he arrived at the palace, the king rushed up
to Maria’s room which his first daughter but she is nowhere to
be found. After that, he walked to his second and third daughter
room’s and still cannot find any of his daughter. He walked out
the palace to go to the Morilla Garden and came across his only
son, Prince June while eating an ice cream. And the king said to
the prince, ”How have you been, my son?”

“Papa!” the prince hug his father tightly. “I’m doing great. I miss
you so much.”

“I miss you too. June, where is your sisters? I cannot find them
anywhere.”

“Have you try to look at the underground kitchen? I heard Gwen
wanted to try some new recipe. I bet Lorena and Maria are there too. ”

“Oh my, silly me. How can I forgot about the underground kitchen.
I have to got there now. Enjoy the ice cream, my son.”

“Okay papa, bye!” King Bobo walked to the underground kitchen
quickly. He can’t wait to tell his daughter about the matter that he discuss
with King Arai of Plaid Kingdom.

After going down a long stairs, King Bobo had arrived
infront of the underground kitchen. He take a deep breath
before entering the kitchen.

“Hello, my daughter!” the king barged into the
underground kitchen with a big smile.

“Papa!” the three princesses rushed towards their
father and hugged him.

“When did you arrived?” asked the three princesses simultaneously.
“Just now. More importantly, I have something to say to all of you. Let’s

talk in the living room.”
King Bobo and his princesses walked to the living room that located on

the second floor of the Pastel Palace. They took a seat on the luxurious couch.
The second princess of Pastel Kingdom, Princess Lorena very eager to know
what his father about to say. “Papa, what do you want to talk about?” asked
Lorena.

“Well, all of you know how I always forbid
you guys from befriending boys.”

“Oh god, not ‘the talk’ again, Papa. Please
don’t lecture us for the hundredth time about how
every man is a wolf with bad intentions.”
Gwendolyn interrupted her father speech.

“And then you try to scare us by reading
‘The Three Little Pigs and the Big Bad Wolf’ and

how they all want to blow our houses down” said Maria agreed with what Gwendolyn said.
“Well they are wolves! Oops. I mean, no. I’m not talking about that girls. I know. I

have some strict policies about allowing boys into your life. But all of that changes today.”
The three princesses intrigued. King Bobo continued, “ You know our long-time ally, the
Plaid Kingdom, right? For many years now, we have been discussing the idea of unifying
both kingdoms and strengthening our bond. Do you know what that means?”

“Yeah, it means an impending fashion disaster because pastels and plaids look

gross together” said Lorena.

“No. it means I want to ask each of you to marry one of the princes from the Plaid

Kingdom.

“You never let us date anyone and now you are asking us to marry a stranger

because it’s beneficial to both kingdom?” said Gwen.

“Well…. What do they look like?”

“Sigh… You guys are lucky the Plaid Kingdom sent over
a portrait of their sons for you guys.”

“Holly Molly!” the princesses eyes are wide open. “I
can’t believe we are got to be the wife of the handsome princes!”
said Maria excitedly. The sadness of having to marry a stranger
has turned to happiness. King Bobo felt a little sad because he had
to let go of his daughters to marry someone.

“Huhu my little girls…” King Bobo whining. He disbelief
that his precious daughters already an adults.

“When do we get to meet them?” asked Maria.
“ Ah, that’s the best part of this surprise. They are coming for tea
today. At 2 o’clock.” Maria, Lorena and Gwendolyn look at the vintage clock.
It says 11 o’clock. They screamed “ They are coming here in 3 hours?!” They
ran to their room to get ready.
Gwendolyn decided to bake some pies for the princes. She baked chicken
pie, apple pie and peach pie. After that she would love to hear what the royal food
critic thinks of her pie. The royal food critic is Prince June, her little brother.

As Gwendolyn walk to the Morilla Garden, she came across a few
soldiers busy searching for the intruders. After a few minutes walk, she
met Prince June. But, he is not alone. There was an unrecognized face
beside him, an old woman. The old woman touched June’s face and said
“What a pretty princess you are.” she mistook June for a princess because
of his feminine looks. “Won’t you have this apple candy?” said the old
woman.

Gwendolyn interrupted them. “Excuse me. May I ask, what are you doing?”
The old woman mouth wide open. Then she shook her head and said,
“Oh, my bad sister! You were clearly here first. I did not mean to take your prey. Us ladies got to
look out for each other you know. I will just leave this here. See you later.”
June and Gwendolyn look at each other. “Who is she talking to actually?” asked
Gwendolyn to June.
“I don’t know. It looks like she’s talking to you. Do you know her?” June picked up the
apple candy.
“Of course I don’t know her, but… Heyyy June!!!” June take a bite of the apple candy and
fainted.

Gwendolyn ran to one of the guard to inform them what just
happened to Prince June. The guards shocked and went to tell the other
guards to look for the old woman.

The Prince Are Here

Meanwhile, the princes of Plaid Kingdom had arrived. They
came out of the carriage and admiring how exquisite the view
around the Pastel Palace. The prince was greeted by the head
maid of Pastel Palace.
Suddenly, they saw a few guards and maids running here and there. They wondered
what’s all the commotions about. And the head maid explained, ”Our prince has been
poisoned. Everyone were in rush to complete the preparations of Wake Up Ceremony
for him.”
“What?” said the three princes.
“Your Highness, you should also join the ceremony. Let’s get to the Morilla
Garden.” Prince Martin, Prince Albert and Prince Ciel followed the head maids to Morilla
Garden. They shocked by how extravagant the decorations and the foods prepared.

The garden was decorated with a lots of glitters and ribbons. Even
the altar was made of crystals. Also, there’s already a lots of guests arrived.
Most of them are nobles from all over Pastel Kingdom. The ceremony begun
as the king walked to the stage to give his speech.

“Welcome, to the Wake Up Ceremony my fellow citizens and not to
forget, Prince Martin, Prince Albert and Prince Ciel of Plaid Kingdom. I am sorry for
this unexpected event. As you can see, my beloved child has fallen in a deep
slumber because of the poison.” said King Bobo while pointing at the crystal altar
where Prince June laid. Then he continued, “ I want to ask a favor to all of you
again, please do your best to wake my child.”

“That must be the last princess. She is so pretty. I pity
her. Why does think like this happened to her.” said Prince Albert.

“But, what does King Bobo means when he said ‘to wake
my child’? What should we do?” said Prince Martin. Then, a man
came up the stage and stood beside Prince June. He gave a
deadly stares to him.



After a few moments, the man open his mouth wide and start singing a rock song

called ‘She’s Gone’ loudly. The princes can’t believe with what they just witness. “What in

the world just happend?” said Prince Ciel.

The man sang the song until the end. Sadly, Prince June still not moving. The royal

knight bow to the man and the man walking down the stages. Then the knight screamed,

“Next!” A lady with a beautiful pink pastel dress came up the stages. She greets the kings

and walked up to the altar. She took out a peacock feather and start tickling Prince June.

The princes are too stunned to speak. Again. While the
lady doing her best to wake the sleeping prince, the first prince,
Prince Martin said, “Oh, now I got it. The king asked us to wake up
the princess no matter what the methods is. Ciel, this is your
chance! The one who is in a deep sleep is the last princess. You
are the one who’s going to marry her.”

“That’s right. But, what should I do.” said Prince Ciel.
“ You know, a kiss from a prince can break any curse
and heal poison? Well, you are a prince.” said Prince Albert.

“Yeah, of course. A kiss will work. That is the power of true love.” said Prince
Martin.

“Are you out of your mind. We never met before but now I need to kiss her?
And in front of the crowd too?!” Prince Ciel blushed.

“Dude, that’s your future wife lying there. I don’t see any issues here. My
brother, I know you can do this.” said Prince Albert tried to encourage his brother.

The lady just now also failed on waking up Prince June. Then Martin and Albert
pushed Ciel to the stage as soon as the knight asked for the next person. Now, Ciel was on
the stage. His heart beats super fast. He gets goosebumps all over his body. Cold sweat
started to drip. He bend over to get close to Prince June. Closer and closer. Now his face
was at the same level with June. He stopped for a moment and looked at his brothers. The
brothers whispered, ‘You can do this!’ He took a deep breath and tried to kiss Prince June.
Everybody gasped with Prince Ciel action. Then, the knight stopped him.

He looked at the knight confused. The
knight said, “Excuse me, your highness. What are
you trying to do.”

“Umm, I tried to wake her up with a kiss
obviously.”

“Well, it’s true you can wake a princess
with a kiss. But, not a PRINCE.”

“Ah. Wait, what? A prince? No, no. You

telling me that the princess were a prince all along. Isn’t she Princess Gwendolyn, the last
princess of Plaid Kingdom?” Everyone there shakes their head. Prince Ciel looked at his
brother. The brother looked the other way.

“That is Prince June, the last son of King Bobo.” said the knight. Prince Ciel
embarrassed. He can’t believed he just mistaken the prince as the princess. Suddenly, the
princesses came to the ceremony. All eyes are on them. The princesses walked towards the
stage with three different desserts.

Meeting The Prince

Prince Martin and Prince Albert walked towards the princesses
to greet them. “Hello my lady.” said them. They felt so happy
because they have finally met their future wife.

‘Oh my god! The princes just greet us!’ whispered Maria
to Gwendolyn and Lorena.
“Girls, look at Prince Albert. He is so buff. I can literally see his biceps from here.” said
Lorena. Albert walked closer to Lorena and said, “I know right. I have been working out since I
was 10.” He took Lorena’s hand and brought her to the water fountain.
“Look at those lovebirds. They looked so good together. Do you agree with me, my
lady?” said Martin from behind.
“They sure looked lovely together. Lorena is quite wild and it looks like Prince Albert
totally suits her taste. I hope I can find my soulmate and share happy memories for the rest of
our life. I really wanted to experience that myself.” said Maria giving a hint to Martin.

“If you had time, I would like to learn more about you. So, may I ?” said Martin
to Maria while hold out his hand. She took Martin hand and said, “ I want to learn about
you too.” Both of them started to get red. Martin leads Maria to the oak tree at end of
garden.

Gwendolyn was left alone. So, she decided to wake June up herself. She
walked up the stage confidently with a plate of cake. It’s not just a regular cake. It’s
Super Duper Creamy Glittery Lava Cake. The inside of the cakes were full with melted
cream cheese and chocolate chips. Decorated with whipped cream, 2 feet long waffer,
sprinkles, honey comb and topped with chocolate and strawberry syrups. The truth is,
King Bobo forbid June from having the Super Duper Creamy Glittery Lava Cake because
it is too sweet. As Gwendolyn walked up the stages, Prince Ciel looked at her in fear. He
was petrified.

‘Is she Princess Gwendolyn?! She looked exactly like the ghost inside the
princesses portrait. Wait, so the ghost is actually a princess. I thought the palace was
haunted and the ghost get into the portrait. Ahhh, I can’t believe this.’ said Ciel in his
mind.



A word slips out his mouth, “A ghost.” Gwendolyn
heard it and she slipped. The Super Duper Creamy Glittery Lava
Cake flew straight to June’s face. Everyone stopped for a
moment. Shocked with what just happened. After a few second,
June woke up. He sit straight on top of the altar and pick the
cake on his face. Then, he licked the cream left on the tip of his
lips and said, “This is absolutely delicious. Nyum nyum.”

He ate the whole cake like nothing happened. Everybody
laughed at his adorable behavior. Except Gwendolyn. She stand back up
and asked June how he feels. Then, she asked Ciel, “Excuse me, are you
okay? Are you scared of me? Do you feel sick? Do I make you feel
uncomfortable?”

“Ah, umm. No, no. I am very comfortable my lady” said Ciel while
holding his hand out. He wanted to hold Gwendolyn hand unwillingly.

“Oh no, it’s okay. You don’t need to hold my hand, Prince Ciel. You don’t need to force
yourself. Actually, I am sorry for being hideous. Umm, I need to go now there’s still some cake
inside the oven. See you later.”

Gwendolyn walked away quickly without looking back. She hold her tears with all her
might. Ciel ran to catch Gwendolyn but the crowds started to move to the stage and he cannot
run anymore.

Gwendolyn headed to her room in tears. To be truth, she’s aware by how she looks
like. She looks exactly like a witch or ghost. She cried with no sound under the blanket. Her
possum get to her bed to comfort her. Even her cobra and scorpion came to comfort her.

‘ I need to cancel my marriage with Prince Ciel. I would rather be alone than forcing
someone else into this relationship. Even if we got married, we will never be happy. But, what
about Maria and Lorena. If I don’t want to get marry, they probably will follow me. I don’t want
to disturb their happiness. Tomorrow I will tell father about my plan and I will try my best to
persuade my sisters to continue with their marriage.’

She thought about a lots of things. First, the way she could improve herself. Second,
she needs to cool her head so she could forgive Prince Ciel.



The next day, Gwendolyn made an

emergency meeting at the royal living room. The

whole family were there.

“Guys, I want to say something regarding

our marriage with the princes. Maria and Martin

while Lorena and Albert. You guys looked so cute

together. You guys are totally meant for each

other.”

“Awhh, Gwen. You make me embarrassed.” said Lorena.
“Gwen you too looks perfect together with Ciel.” Maria interrupted.
“Actually, the truth is I don’t want to continue my marriage with Ciel.”
King Bobo frowned and said, “Why, my love? Did he do something not to your
liking”
“Absolutely not. I just need more time for myself. And I think Ciel are not
interested with me. I don’t think I could be happy with him.” said Gwendolyn.

“If that’s so, I will not marry Albert too.”

“Me too. I don’t want you to be lonely Gwen.” As expected, Lorena and Maria will

not hesitated to call off the marriage for their sister.

“Maria, Lorena, you should not sacrifice your happiness for me. Both of you looked

so happy yesterday. My heart will broke to pieces if I am the one who destroyed your happy

ever after.” said Gwendolyn to persuade her sisters.

“I agree with Gwen. You guys should find your own happiness. Fortunately, Gwen

will never be lonely because I am here. I will take a good care of
her.” said June while embracing Gwendolyn.

Maria and Lorena looked at each other and smiled.
“Okay, we will proceed with the marriage.” they giggled.

“Well, I will write a letter to Plaid Kingdom to call off
your marriage with Ciel. But, my love, you should tell me the truth.
Did he do something funny to you? Huh? Huh?” said King Bobo.

“Hahaha. Papa, there’s nothing happened. I am serious.”
said Gwen to calm her father.

The door was knocked a few times. A maid came in and
informed us that there is a guest waiting for Gwendolyn. The guest
waited for her at the Pastel Greenhouse. She walked to the
greenhouse to meet her guest.

She was in shocked because the guest is Prince Ciel.
Prince Ciel greeted her. She sat down and the prince starts to talk.
“Princess, I am deeply sorry if I hurts your feeling. I know, it is very
rude of me to call you a ghost. Can you forgive me?”

“Can I be honest with you?” said Gwendolyn.
“Of course you can”
“Okay. I am so pissed when you called me a ghost. I am very insecure with how I
looked. To be honest, I cried until I fell asleep last night.”
“Oh gosh. I shouldn’t said that before. I have wounded your heart.” Ciel was very
guilty with what he had done to Gwendolyn.
“But, because of you. I have a deep thought about myself yesterday. I think of ways to
improve myself. And how to love myself. It’s all because of you.”

Ciel’s eyes widen. He can’t believe Gwendolyn just praise him. Even after he
made a grave mistake yesterday. She is very positive. He smiled and said, “ I guess you
must have called off our marriage right?”

“Yes, I am. Oh, I am sorry that I don’t consulted you first before make the
decision.”

“It’s alright. It is for our future.” they looked at each other.

They unconsciously stared into each other's eyes for 5 seconds. Then
looked the other way with redden cheeks. Ciel breaks the awkwardness, “Ehemm. So,
ummm. We still can be friends right?”

“I would love that.”
Gwendolyn and Ciel talked about a lots of things. Their
favourites books, hobbies and even wild gossips happened in
their country. They become to understand each other more and
more. They keep chatting until the sun goes down.

The Wedding Day

The sky was blue, the birds are chirping happily. It’s a
perfect day to hold a wedding ceremony. Well, not
one, but two. Today is the day. The most awaited day.
The day where Princess Maria and Princess Lorena got
married.
“Huhu, my daughters. How could you. Bohooo” King Bobo cried loudly during
the wedding.
Gwendolyn and June came to calm her father. “Papa, calm down. You are the
one who let them to get married.”
“That’s right papa. Relax. They will still be your daughter even though they are
married remember.” said June.
“Your Majesty, you embarrassed us infront of these peoples. I advise you to
slow down your voice, Your Majesty.” said Prince Ciel came from behind.

“Young man, don’t be smart with me. Did you just say that I, King Bobo, the ruler of
Pastel Kingdom just embarrassed you.” said King Bobo in disbelief.

“Yes.” said Gwendolyn, June and Ciel simultaneously. King Bobo was sulking.
Gwendolyn and Ju ne tried their best to comfort their spoiled father. Luckily, it worked.

The wedding ceremony have came to the end. Now, the princes and princesses had
legally married. The hopes and ideas of unifying both kingdoms and strengthening the bond
were a big success.

After a few years, Princess
Lorena had a son with Prince Albert
while Princess Maria and Prince Martin
were expecting the second child. The
peaceful and vibrant Pastel Palace will
become noisy. As for Prince June, he ran

a restaurant. The business was very successful. Not to
forget, Princess Gwendolyn and Prince Ciel, they
together travelled around the worlds discovering all
fairytales written in the books. And they all lived
happily ever after.
