On a cool spring morning on April 15, a baby named Napoleon was born.
Napoleon had a very large family. He had four brothers and three sisters.
His parents were carlo Buonaparte and Letizia Buonaparte.
Napoleon’s family was very wealthy.
Napoleon began going to school at the military college of Brienne in France at the age of eight.
When Napoleon was 16 years old, he graduated.
Napoleon was a very smart kid but his grades didn’t reflect it.
As a young man Napoleon’s height was below average. He was 5’2 when he graduated.
In 1796, he married a young woman by the name of Joséphine de Beauharnais.
She later broke his heart and left him all alone.
Ten years later, Napoleon fell for another young woman named Marie Louise.
A few years after the marriage the young couple of Napoleon and Marie had a baby boy which
they named Napoleon II.
Shortly after Napoleon graduated, he became a leader in the army.
Napoleon was proud because he was a general right after he finished school.
At only 26, he came to command the entire french army.
When he was 30, he came to control the entirety of the french military, not just the army.
As a leader, Napoleon did some very good things.
When Napoleon was leader, he brought an end to France’s postrevolution chaos and rebuilt
Paris into a beautiful city.
When Napoleon was leader, he founded the french banking system and created a legal cooe
that’s still in place today.
As Napoleon became older, he crowned himself emperor and he crowned his son “King of
Rome.”
Napoleon started many wars that costed millions their lives.
After many defeats, Napoleon was x exiled to the island of Elba.
Napoleon’s first exile did not last that long though. He soon came back to France and regained
power.
Napoleon immediately led the french army back into battle. He defeated the Prussians, but two
day later was defeated in battle by the english.
On June 22, 1815, Napoleon was exiled for the second time, and this time to the island of St.
Helena.
