Anjing dan Kucing pernah menjadi sahabat karib. Semua tahu di mana ada Kucing, di sekitarnya pasti ada Anjing. 2/11


Mereka makan, main, dan tidur bersama, Keduanya bagaikan saudara kandung. 3/11


Jika Kucing tidak ada, maka Anjing tidak mau makan. Jika Anjing tidak ada, Kucing pun tidak mau makan! 4/11


Suatu hari, manusia menyadari bahwa Kucing adalah penangkap tikus yang andal. Lalu, Kucing pun tinggal di dalam rumah untuk membantu manusia menyingkirkan tikustikus pengganggu. 5/11


Anjing merasa sedih. Ia ditinggalkan sendiri di luar, kehujanan. Anjing pun memutuskan untuk mengajak Kucing, sahabat lamanya, bertemu. 6/11


Kucing tiba tepat waktu. Anjing muncul dengan mata melotot penuh amarah. “Bisa-bisanya kau tinggalkan aku demi hidup di dalam rumah, sementara aku hanya bisa makan sisa makananmu?” 7/11


Tak lama, pertemuan itu berubah menjadi pertengkaran. Kucing terpaksa melarikan diri lewat lubang tikus sementara Anjing terus menggonggong tanpa henti. 8/11


Kucing mendengar suara Anjing saat ia melesat meninggalkan debu beterbangan di belakangnya. “Mulai saat ini, kau akan selalu bersembunyi dariku. Kau adalah buruanku untuk kusantap. Sangatlah tidak adil jika aku hanya makan sisa makanan yang jatuh di air kotor sedangkan kau makan di cawan kaca mewah!” 9/11


Kucing berlari menuju bagian belakang rumah, terengah-engah. Merasa lelah dan kalah, Kucing lalu berkata, “Aku tidak akan mendekati Anjing lagi. Aku hampir saja mati. Lagipula, jika aku mati, siapa yang akan makan menggunakan cawan indahku?” Kemudian, Kucing menyeka keringatnya sembari memandang cawan miliknya penuh cinta. 10/11


Sejak saat itu, kucing dan anjing tidak lagi rukun … hampir sepanjang waktu. 11/11
