懷念可敬的校董陳錦麟律師
陳錦麟律師加入本校法團校董會,擔任辦學團體委任 校董一職雖然只有短短一年,但他對學校的貢獻卻不 少。在學期初,學校發生了危機事件,陳律師在百忙 中仍細心地提供寶貴的法律意見,指導學校要注意的 地方,讓學校能安然渡過。陳律師十分支持學校的活 動,於本年度校慶典禮中,更親臨鼓勵,實在難得!
對於陳律師的離世本人深感惋惜,他細心認真的工作
態度,以及謙恭有禮、和藹可親的待人精神,讓我銘
感於心。
願主保守陳律師及其家人,永享主恩!

我們懷著極其沈痛的心情,在這裏隆重悼念一位和藹可親及令人
尊敬的長輩、本校法團校董會校董陳錦麟律師。他因病於主曆二
零一六年四月二十日猝然辭世。
陳錦麟律師於2013年加入大角嘴天主教小學的大家庭成為校董, 陳校董雖然公務繁忙,但仍願意付出時間及帶著滿腔熱情投身於 教育服務。他為人謙虛誠懇和平易近人。記得有一次我向他請教 一些學校事務上的法律問題,他不但細心聆聽,而且耐心地向我 講解法律的觀點及提出可行的方案。此外,在每次的法團校董會 會議中,他經常就學校事務給予我們許多專業意見,對學校充滿 關懷和愛護,為學校發展盡心盡力。生命雖有盡頭,但他的愛心 將延綿久遠。
斯人人已去,長歌當哭。陳校董,我們悼念你,我們要學習您不
計個人得失及無私奉獻的服務精神,把我們的教育工作做好,善
用主賜的能力為人服務。本校全體師生對於陳校董在校的貢獻將
永懷感激。法團校董會同仁亦對他的離世深感哀慟,謹此向陳校
董之家人致以深切慰問,願主安慰與扶持他們渡過哀傷時刻。

各位陳錦麟律師的朋友:
頃接我會理事陳錦麟先生因心臟病離世的噩耗,我會仝人同感悲傷
有握腕之痛。
並非刻意美言之是,香港日本文化協會能發展壯大至今日的規模,
全賴陳錦麟先生為本會作出無私的奉獻。
Daniel 一直以其律師的專業知識,義務擔任本會顧問律師,特別 在公元二千年前時,日本駐港總領事館決定將其旗下的日本語講座 ,移交予本會營運,陳律師為此全力協助本會於2000年正式成立為 註冊公司,得以順利承接營運有關日本語教育工作,並令本會的會 員人數、參與促進港日文化交流的活躍及貢獻度大增。
這一切的成績,都離不開Daniel 默默地在背後充當幕後英雄。
至2015年,陳律師在準備享受退休生活之餘,應允出任本會的理 事,希望能對促進港日友好作出更大貢獻及投入。
很可惜天妒英才,陳律師於4月20日清晨突然心臟病發而安詳離世。
我謹代表本會理事會仝人,向陳律師的家人致以深切哀悼及慰問! 您 為促進港日交流所作的努力及貢獻,將永留大家心中!

陳錦麟宗兄乃廣州沙貝村人,在香港出生并成長,其聪敏好
學,難苦奮閗,终於事業輝煌,成為人中佼佼者。近幾拾年
更是関心社群,不辞劳苦。自從承担陳世德堂會長之後,
更是身體力行,為會務工作鞠躬尽瘁。每年组識鄉親在春莭 期间舉行的慶燈聯誼活動,出錢出力,使鄉親們能有交流的 平台,促进,不辞劳苦,促進了鄉親們的團结。每到清明不 辞劳苦,带领鄉親回鄉祭祖,将中華民化弘揚。陳錦麟宗兄 一生樂於助人,仁爱慈善,對家鄉建設更是出錢出力不甘後 人。
今日你魂歸天國,實令存者捶胸顿足,泪如雨下。
惟有千言萬語,您一路走好。尊敬的好兄長您安息吧!

永遠懷念你
Daniel兄弟的離去不應該是令人悲傷的事情,我們的肉身死了,但 我們的靈魂在天上與父相聚。 靜靜流逝的所有一切,這個世界沒 有終結。 常言道:凡事都有定期,天下萬務都有定時。 生有時, 死有時,哭有時,笑有時,失落有時,喜樂有時........
這樣看來,我們看見上主叫世人勞苦,叫我們在其中受磨練。 天 主創造萬物,各按其時成為美好,又將永恆安置在世人心裡。 雖 然Daniel兄弟與我們暫時分離,但我們知道,他的離去並非生命的 結束,而是永生的開始。
願天主眷顧衪鍾愛的僕人,我們相信,天主必會接納Daniel兄弟回 到自己身邊,願他安息於天父懷中,在天上永享福樂。

從另一角度看:40多年好朋友Daniel的離去,是有點突然。 但是 想到是俗世人所講的「走得好,修得到」未嘗不是愁中滲樂,苦中 帶甘。
我們認識Daniel多年,從未見他發過脾氣,真是好好先生一名,熱 愛天主, 照顧家庭。 所以現在大家都祝願他一路好走,主懷安息。

Daniel and I met in 1971 in Hong Kong House when we were students in London and we became friends for life since. We were flat mates for two years until graduation when he returned to Hong Kong to serve his articles. Indeed, his serious courtship with Teresa began when she visited him from Hong Kong after exams finished. We spent days repainting the flat in romantic colours to greet her arrival. Daniel also became godfather to my eldest son Randolph. As our respective families grew we met as “babysitters” in London during term starts and half terms when our children attended boarding school in England. Such has been the closeness of our families. Words cannot describe the sadness with which I learned of Daniel’s unexpected departure!
What is incredible with Daniel in the 45 years that I have known him is I have never seen him lose temper, raise his voice or have an argument amongst friends. He always handled problems and challenges with a smile or joke and was often the agony aunt of many of our friends. In the last couple of years, as we approached retirement/semi-retirement we’ve had more time to meet as a group of Hong Kong House Goldies to reflect and reminisce the good times and the good old days! Sadly, we are one member less as good things always come to an end.
Our dearest Daniel, we will miss you but will remember you with fond memories! Rest in Peace!

Remembering Daniel Chan Kam Lun
We are deeply saddened with the passing of Daniel, our true friend and trusted legal advisor. He was the Company Secretary of Salesian Foundation since her establishment. In fact, the memorandum and article of association was written single- handedly by him before its date of incorporation. He was one of the founders, among Fr. Simon Lam, Eric Kwok Ping Sun, Francis Leung Pak To, Peter Cheng Ka Shing, Dominic Lee Tai Hey, David Tsoi Tai Wai and others to reinforce the education work of Salesian English School, our Alma Mater.
His passion in calling, attending and documenting minutes of all directors’ meetings and his efforts not to settle with less than perfection in any legal matters set an excellent role model in company secretarial and legal practice. We lost an important asset not only in such but also a kind-hearted friend with his passing.
All of us at Salesian Foundation offer our thought and prayers to Daniel’s family and friends with our deepest condolences.

Mourning over the Passing of my respected Daniel Chan Kam Lun
I would like to take a moment to honor Daniel's contribution and accomplishments in Salesian Foundation and our Alma Mater. Although I knew him for too short, it is obvious Daniel deserves the respect by all of us as a first-class company secretary and lawyer. I will hold dearly his contribution to us in all legal matters and his decent personality.
Daniel isn’t only a blessed lawyer but also a serious Catholic. We will always miss him and remember him. May he peacefully rest in God's graces.

My Last Tribute to respectful Daniel Chan Kam Lun
I really regret the passing of Daniel, my fellow Director and Company Secretary. He wasn’t only a competent professional lawyer but also a kind-hearted gentleman. I do enjoy having worked with him before and throughout the years of Salesian Foundation. Without his strenuous efforts in complying our memorandum & articles of association or without his valuable contribution and supervision in conducting our directors’ meetings, Salesian Foundation could never have been properly operated or ever kick-started. I will miss him deeply, as will all Directors and our Alma Mater old boys.

Dad was a devoted father putting his family first, giving the best possible living and education environments that he could for us. He also provided us the support, love, and honestly we need. Although he was busy at work and other voluntary work, he always made the best efforts to spend time with us. Dad had a great sense of humour and always seemed so happy and full of joy. His optimistic personality is something that we always want to emulate.
Dad has lived a rewarding life and accomplished so much in his lifetime. He will long be remembered as the hardworking, intelligent and caring father. We are really proud to have such a great dad like you!
Time may pass and fade away but memories of you will always stay. We will always love you, Dad!
