The College has grown from strength to strength in the last 25 years and progressing towards Excellence in Engineering Education, Research and Development. The College presently offers 18 Under Graduate and 9 Post Graduate programmes including MBA program, with an annual intake of 2070 students. 9 of our departments are recognized as Research Centers of Anna University to conduct Ph.D. and M.S. (By Research) programmes and many scholars have obtained Ph.D. through these research centres. The College is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with 'A++' Grade.
About the conference NCRAMS is the National Conference organized two years once by Department of mechanical engineering, Rajalakshmi Engineering College since 2017. This is the fourth version of National Conference on Recent Advances in Mechanical Engineering (NCRAMS 2023) aims to bring researchers, academicians, practicing engineers, and industrialists to a common platform which provides an opportunity for researchers to exchange ideas in recent advances on various aspects of theory, analysis, and experimentation in various fields of Mechanical Engineering. Anna University has recognized it as a research centre for its collaborative research programme that leads to a Ph.D. by research. The NBA has re-accredited the department. It has well-trained faculty with a mix of industrial and academic experience. The department is actively involved in research and consultancy work funded by a variety of funding sources, including DST, UGC, AICTE, GTRE, ISHRAE and others. Faculty and students are actively involved in patent publication. The department's faculty members hold doctorates in a variety of fields and are also qualified for research guidance from Anna University. Around 20 scholars have received their Ph.D from the mechanical research centre, and more than 30 are now pursuing their studies.
