President appreciates… Dear Members, staff and the public!
I took this opportunity to congratulate all
our staff, volunteers and supporters for
their contribution towards achieving our
project goals and also WORD's goal of
empowering the marginalized families in
Namakkal district. I felt happy that
WORD has reached more children,
women, farmers and families in this year
thru our development intervention. More
drinking bore wells with hand pumps,
school toilet complexes, to benefit more children from poorest
families in villages benefitted including their teachers who
educate these children. Children are future leaders of the
country, who should be nurtured with great attention and
affection to make them powerful and stronger to handle
challenges and the needs.
Micro-credit interventions to the marginalized women and
mothers contributed to a great extent, to ensure the regular
employment and income generation around the year on least
services costs and keeping away the money lenders and the
vested interests.
Farmers got supported with training, seeds, seed banks,
exposures, field demonstrations to do their sustainable farming
activities with knowledge, experience and confidence to make
their farming operations sustainable one.
I wish each one of you, the members of the Society, staff,
officials, volunteers, experts, donors, the bankers, school
teachers, and others a Big Thank You to all of YOU !

Women’s Organisation for Rural Development (WORD) Dear Honorable Members of WORD, Dedicated Staff team, volunteers and friends!
It makes me pleasant to share the successes achieved by WORD, during the
year 2018-2019, that is also 27th year of WORD in the field of development
and empowerment of the marginalized families in the district. It has got
strength to impart skills and vocational training to youth both girls and boys
so that they could have employable skills that will help these youth to have
sustained work and income to them and their families. WORD is pleased to
enable hundreds of young persons with livelihood skills and confidence.
Challenges are manifold, and the needs are also increasing. To address these
challenges, needs and the capabilities are to be increased. WORD is to think
to build the capacities of its staff and personnel to become versatile in
handling all the demands of their work and tasks that are assigned and expected. That will be done
regularly, however it would be done regularly in the coming years to coordinate their activities and
support their endeavors.
School Sanitation, School children Drinking Water needs, education of children on water and
